Never forget the Nationals were hours away from signing Acuna which would have meant landing Soto (signed the same year) and Acuna.
And Acuna signed an 8 year 100m deal that is a crazy discount for baseball stars

Was expecting Crews to get called up with expanded rosters but I guess he has to go to AAA 1st

Atlanta has been locking up their young stars waaaaaaaay earlier than normal baseball contract mechanics….their core is set for a long long time…

U of Houston are wearing Houston Oilers inspired uniforms for their home opener. They are pretty sharp.

Colorado vs TCU might be one of the only games that seemed even enough to watch, but boy did it ever pay off. That was a thriller, pretty good stuff. Was interesting to see Deion Sanders' son not suck and be gifted the position but actually put up numbers and do pretty well.

Saw the stats and the after game comments definitely seemed like high entertainment. All that said I hope D. Sanders health issues all the best.

US storming back in the Walker Cup.

down 7.5 to 4.5 to start the day……now trail 8.5 to 7.5, US leading 6 matches, trailing 3, 1 AS.

As of now, I'm taking Europe to win this year. Love their collective driving ability... between Rahm, Rory, Hovland, and now Aberg, IMO they've got 4 of the best 5 drivers in the event on their side (Scottie being the other). We'll see - 2021 was a complete talent mismatch at a course that suited the Americans' game heavily. 2023 feels a lot more even.

On paper the EUR team looks stronger to me, too. But so much about the RC is mental, even more than "regular" tournament golf... you never know.

Some of the big names on both sides have had their struggles recently. We'll see who has the extra gear when those colors come out.
