I mean it as a case in point. Just dont see Germany as a top team right now. They have some serious up and coming talent but their a couple of years away from being the players they are projected to be imo. After Wirtz/Musiala you are going to have to pray Kai gets back his magic when he leaves Chelsea.

It's a weak point though when we had a worse player than Gotze on the roster every time we've won. It's not like we're banking on him to lead us :dunno:

I'm not really worried about our attack. Even if Kai's chelsea form started to seep into his NT form...12 goals & 11 assists in 33 NT matches, 10+5 in 24 without friendlies, 4 goals in 6 tournament matches...and none of the academy-level kids worked out, we'd still have Moukoko, Adeyemi, Burkardt, Schade, Knauff, etc.; around Musiala and Wirtz.

The hypocrisy is trying to make me say things I never said and ignoring what I DID say.
But that hasn't stopped you before.

I don't have a problem with players representing the players of their ancestors as I've said MULTIPLE times. I have given you the example (because he was very vocal about it, hence the example) of Ryad Boudebouz.
NOW, I do have a problem with the opportunistic who chose to represent France in every youth category, tried to break into the first team and when they felt they couldn't (Lemina) or not regularly enough (Aouar), negociated a new found passion for the country of their ancestors (with money, and cars involved).
So please stop lying and read twice what I've just written.

Now, when you tell me I don't whine about players being opportunistic playing for France while being born, raised in France, learning their football here and all, I find that absolutely amazing. Defies the imagination.

I just don't get why you care so much and why you feel entitled to make those judgment calls. What is it to you? I don't believe Aouar's 'regret' either but most French players also don't play out of a passion for the French nation. Yet you don't seem to complain about that. And also, I don't see the problem with national players getting perks for their efforts. Again, what's the problem?

MOST players choose what is best for their career not out of a national identity.

WHEN are we going let players choose what they wanna do with their own life?
Yuuuuuup.

*sigh* Jamal pulled something against Leverkusen and won't be joining the NT for this international break, so we're going to have to keep waiting to see Musiala & Wirtz play together. Nobody is getting called up to replace him.

It is our deepest position and all, but one of these days I want to see what happens when those two play together...nevermind surrounding them with 2 or 3 of Havertz, Sane, Moukoko, or Adeyemi.

Looking at the roster, I'm thinking Flick is planning to try a forward duo with a speedster like Werner/Schade playing off of a more traditional 9 like Füllkrug/Berisha. Guessing we see some iteration of:

Havertz/Götze - Füllkrug/Berisha - Werner/Schade - Wirtz/Gnabry
Kimmich/Can - Goretzka/Nmecha
Raum/Günter - Schlotterbeck/Kehrer - Ginter/Thiaw - Wolf/Vagnoman
ter Stegen/Trapp

So Flick apparently called Samardzic about a senior NT call-up with a plan for his future integration into the A-team, but the kid had already decided to change to Serbia by that point.

Probably the right call for his career...although he really does have one hell of a left foot, and I won't be the least bit surprised if he becomes a good enough 8/10 to have played for our senior team.

Those morons at UEFA decided to allow Hungarian far right fans to display the flag of "Big Hungary" (which hasn't existed in 100+ years) which includes territories of Romania, Slovakia, Croatia, Ukraine and Serbia. Recipe for disaster. I'd remind those flag waving knuckle draggers that the main reason why they lost all those territories is because they always tended to support the far right politically, from Horthy to Hitler to nowadays with Orban.

Hungary are playing away at Serbia. I don't guarantee Hungarian fans safety in Belgrade if they're going to use that flag there, Serbians aren't the most peaceful people either. I can't believe UEFA would be so dumb.

This rocks. The scales of power under FIFA (between national teams, club teams, and individual players) are ABSURDLY tilted towards national teams, but SURE Norway would totally accept Man City/Erling Haaland making up injury to skip an international break and two critical qualifiers for the first tournament Norway could conceivably qualify for since 1998 (?). Absolutely. Absolutely true.

Tons of sources here too.
But that's how he is.
Interesting. Honestly, I get it. If I was the senior player who’d given his all for the team over the past years, I’d be grumpy if the younger star player got it. I wouldn’t consider leaving the NT as a result, but I’d be irked

Y’all forgot about Alex Ferguson. Has not been that long.

If anyone wants to bet me that Haaland/Rashford/etc won’t play in the first PL game after the international break, bring it out. If not, go kick rocks

Not to mention that City's doctors let him go and Norway's doctors sent him home.
