Allowing 8 third place teams to move on is so dumb. International footy already breeds negative tactics, allowing more mediocre sides to get through is only going increase the negative tactics.

I'd rather more teams than 3-team groups.
If Qatar taught me one thing, it's that we need the 4 team groups. The last match day drama was amazing this time around.

3-team groups would welcome even more negative tactics. Every team outside the top 15 would be playing to not lose.

No one cares because as many people will watch a lousy game at the World Cup as a good game at the World Cup they just want more games because more money; and they’ll call it a success afterwards no matter how it turns out

W. Fofana, Saliba, Upamecano and Konate should be the top 4 CBs called up by DD for the next list. Todibo could be 5th (he's already better than Fofana and Konate IMO).

@Power Man
Algeria also recruited Chaibi (Toulouse) and Hadjam (Nantes), two very good youngsters.
Chaibi is a CM/AMC, talented and already efficient.
Hadjam is a young LB from PFC who just signed with Nantes and has seen ups and downs so far at L1 level. Still talented goind forward.

Thanks for the update and the scouting report mon ami

Good news but our central defense still worries me lol, we need to strengthen that area. We have some good youngsters in the Algerian league, I’m not sure why Belmadi hasn’t called them up yet

Ridiculous depth in the position, as a Canadian I'm jealous.

The more he plays there the more out of whack he gets. He's better than all those guys ahead of him but I'm not complaining. :P
Haha he's hardly better than the likes of Saliba or Upa (this year)
Heck there aren't many CB that can say they have been better than Todibo.

I dont base players year to year. There's isnt a defender Id rather have his age group than Kounde... well Aruajo (the most underrated CB) but yeah ;)

All this talk about great CB's and we have Mandi

Although I recently saw an article saying he may not be called up in a few days by Belmadi

With the recent addition of LB's , my guess is that Bensebaini will be moved to CB (he actually started his career in that position)

Bensa has played as part of a back 3 for BMG...though I do think LB in a back 4 is the best way to take best advantage of his skillset.

Curious to see how Weiser does for you whenever his switch goes through. He was an interesting prospect before stagnating with Leverkusen...like so many kids who stayed there for too long...

Yep

We play with a back 4 99% of the time, LB or even LWB are the best positions ofr him

He needs to calm down though, 2 stupid and quick yellow cards in our friendly vs Sweden and another dumb red+suspension recently in BuLi

As for Weiser, ngl I just looked him up
