Mexico fined and next two home matches behind closed doors because of the chant. Should be more than two since a few months ago they were given two and appealed it down to 1, because of measures they had put in place which ended up doing nothing.
Whoever could have seen this happening??

Amazing names called up shocking tbh. No idea why Scaloni would call up that many kids up. But I love it

How is your qualification campaign going? Flick is expected to call a very diverse squad for our matches now that we're through, are you guys secure enough for Scaloni to start testing out alternatives against more capable opposition?

They’re comfortable but I don’t see how you experiment against Brazil. Maybe this Uruguay team but they also have a streak I’m sure he wants to keep going.

I doubt they get minutes must be just using them for sparring.

Don't recall someone that young getting a call for a men's NT. I assume he had interest from nations he was eligible for so Romania pulled the trigger.

Those in the know, is he quite the talent?

@luiginb & @Fulham were talking about him in the prospect thread.

IIRC Canada & Turkey were both trying to snipe him.

I know Bowen doesn't have big numbers, but I'd value his workrate and interplay over Sterling and Saka right now. Should get a call-up.

Yeah ESR seems like someone who should have got a look. He was 4 goals and 2 assists in his last 7 games.

Emile Smith Rowe missing out on the England squad is a joke, but I get it. There’s a lot of competition in that area, even though guys like Mount and Grealish have been less productive.

Ben White and Fikayo Tomori missing out is absolutely ridiculous. They have been the nations best CBs this season. Mings and Coady has been picked over them, is that a joke? It’s probably a squad chemisty thing I guess. Coady and Mings are shit, but experienced and good locker room guys who have been in the squad a lot before.

Mings I get just based on his left foot. Coady though? Yeah, I don't get it.

Romania pulling a Football Manager style move to cap tie him in meaningless games i respect it

We got Sheffield's youngster Jebbison to commit this week so not all is lost.

Mings is genuinely one of the Premier Leagues worst center backs right now though. Benched by Hause last game. A left foot doesn’t compensate for not being nearly as good at football as many other options.

Home to Iceland & away to Lichentstein, are as close to that as a friendly. (especially the 2nd game where id imagine they give him a run-out)
But he hasnt taken a cent of CSA money so the decision is his. I cant imagine the pressure he would have to accept a callup being at the Hagi Academy and having Hagi as a manager.

Sancho has lost his spot in the England squad

Its deserved at this point, but this is on Man United. How do you screw up one of the best attackers in the world the last few years so quickly? Sancho is not some one season wonder. He’s a world class player that sucks right now. Man United needs to sort out what happened.

Saliba did make two terrible mistakes tonight, though. His poor foot-eye coordination leading to two goals for Lazio.
Yes first two mistakes I ever saw him do in his pro career. Though the first one isn't really a mistake since it was an unlucky deflection. Second was all him.

Gerth and Pourtau are two top class keepers in the making so once Emi and Musso hang up the gloves as Buffon did and Donnarumma came in the Albiceleste will not have to worry about another goalkeeper drought. It's great to see the kids involved. All highly talented. As in the Pekerman-Tocalli era engendering continuity and an awareness of what you need to do and achieve a spot in the national side not to mention learning from top class professionals like Messi and de Paul.

Soule has been looked at by Italy although as the surname indicates of distant French ancestry. He has like Luka Romero no intention though of playing for anyone else. Dybala should be a simple straight in swap for Messi. Same role. There is always the possibility of Messi being injured in the Mundial so better to take a shock and prepare for it now than at that time. Of course I hope and Argentina fans that Messi will be fully fit and ready to go at the Mundial.

Disappointing to see Facundo Medina dropped for no reason. Should be an integral part of things going forward despite gifting a penalty in his last match for Lens. He still needs to curb his aggression at times.
