I heard the crowd chanting tonight, as I have the last couple of games. That's great. For those of you in attendance, have you noticed the crowds growing or becoming more noticeable? Attendance numbers I noticed were slightly higher, but that was for the Blackhawks game

Also, Nashville broadcast showed a couple of guys with fake moustaches and Aviators riffing on the Bobrovsky's "On the case!" theme, pretty great. (or should I say Bobrovsky's "On the case!" meme? :sarcasm:)

I thought Saturday's crowd would be bigger than it was. Still a good crowd but I thought it would be close to a sellout. I thought tonight's crowd seemed considerably bigger than the average Tuesday crowd. I haven't looked at the attendance numbers, though.

Look for the Kings to cool off here soon. They've got quite the road trip coming up. Here's hoping the take a tumble in the standings, hopefully all the way out of the playoff picture.

Doubt it... the Kings can win without trying with all of their talent.... but anything is possible I guess..

I liked Letestu-Brassard-Prospal tonight. I'd also like us to keep Foligno-Joey-Umberger together. Its the other line that is at issue, and the fact that Anisimov is currently on the 4th line (although they looked dangerous tonight). I'd move up Anisimov and maybe shutdown Cam for awhile, and hopefully he'll heal up some.

A little over 13,000 last night. I thought the fans were engaged and loud, particularly from the 2nd period forward. There's cautious hope surrounding the team. I'm a day one season ticket holder who's a bit jaded by the years of losing, but it's hard not to really like this team and think they can pull it off. We'll see what happens on the upcoming road trip. If they keep rolling I think this town will really get amped (seems like I've heard more conversation about the Jackets at work, etc. than in almost any previous year save the inaugural year and 08-09).

Nice win by CBJ, but I hated the finish. Hope they can keep it up.

As for the steak. Sorry folks, but the CBJ are not going to get any credit for anything until this plays out. If we make the play-offs, then it becomes news, if not, same old Jackets.

Like it or not, the developing story, and the one getting all the press is Anaheim. They are upstaging even Chicago right now. No love for the CBJ until we really prove something. Just the way it is.

Under the radar is not a bad place to be. While we as fans would love to see the big press about our Jackets, I would much rather the opposition underestimates. But I would bet that the coaching staffs around the league are well aware of whats going on.

Still waiting on a report from those lucky fans in physical attendance....

Seeing the Mustard yellow jerseys sitting on their hands in section 206 for pretty much the whole game was nice.

Letestu got credit for that 2nd goal...but wow...one of the best goals I've seen this team earn as a team that I can remember. That keep in was f o r e v e r . The crowd was coming alive in support recognizing the effort just a few seconds before they found Letestu on left side.

Letestu's pass to Brass on 4th goal :amazed: My seats are right on that goal line and in my head I'm screaming "make the shot the pass..make the shot the pass...**** he passed and completely missed Prospal...oh.... Brass!!!"

I can't think of a more dominant 5-5 shift than that one.

I'm critical of Brassard, but he, and that whole line played a hell of a game.

Looked at the box score this morning and saw something I didn't notice too much watching TV: We won the faceoff margin 36-23. Think about that for a moment: +13 in the circles. It's a stat that gets overlooked by a lot of fans but those extra 13 possessions of the puck can lead to lots of opportunities for goals if the other areas of your game are solid, and we saw that last night. We also won the takeaway margin 7-2.

So, did we assume the game was won at the end? Yes. Did we deserve to win the game by 3 goals aside from the last 5 minutes? Yes. This was still one of the team's most dominant performances in my opinion. Next time they are up that many goals late, they will know they can't skate too easy. I'm just thankful they learned that lesson in a regulation win instead of an overtime loss like in this game from last season I'm sure you all remember (there have been many like it over the years): http://www.nhl.com/ice/boxscore.htm?id=2011020410&navid=sb:boxscore

We havent made the playoffs or done anything yet. Streak is nice, but still a long ways to go. Also, removal of Howson, and hiring of Jarmo may have caused a jolt in the room. Shaken things up a bit. Not sure streak happens without that shake up. I think it put the players on edge, playing with more of a sense of urgency. You notice it with their play on the ice. Big difference in energy between first few games of season and last few

I've seen this "jolt in the room" thing on twitter. Really doesn't make sense. Who exactly has this woke up? I don't really see anybody who's playing out of their minds right now besides Letestu (which started before Kekalinen was hired) and Bob.

Probably not, but I would have liked a chance to turn the clock back and seen what the CBJ could have been if a guy like John Davidson was President instead of Mike Priest after MacLean was fired.... No doubt the players selected to play are key but none of us know the impact on the room management has....

Really??? you'd like to turn the clock back and un-do the tenure of the guy who got the Arena lease deal signed?

It's almost like...like a lot of new guys in major spots almost started developing chemistry or something. It's not like we can look to the playoff year or anything as an example of this very phenomenon. It's not like that team was 2 games under .500 at Christmas or anything, or went 27-15-6 after Christmas once the new guys assimilated themselves into the team.

Your theory's probably better though. Remind me again who got canned at Christmas in the playoff year that "shook things up" or "sent a message" or "created a sense of urgency", because I seem to have forgotten.

So we string together a few victories, and now suddenly Howson is a genius? Get real. Thats ludicrous. A few games over the past 6 years does not change the reality of the situation. Especially when those games occurred after the left.

Bob is showing just part of the reason why Howson is canned. He put his career on the line for Mason. And if Howson was here, would he force Mason in the net again?? Who knows.

The point- players are trying to impress the new GM. In similar fashion to if there was a new coach. Also, we have caught lightning in a bottle with Bob and our currently riding it. Going into last night, we had only scored 21 goals in 10 games. Thats an extremely small margin of error, fact. And proves that we still have holes to fill. At any rate, this is all happening under new management. Howson isnt here anymore.

Jackets have 12 of their final 17 on the road, what happens if they fail during that stretch? You gonna blame that on Howson? Or just pick and choose specific spots from this season you wish to give credit to Howson, while not giving any blame?

Howson is gone. The organization has moved on. Obviously they agreed he needed to go. Most of the fans have moved on. Its been over a month. Im not sure why you cant move on either. You brought this all up again, without being instigated. Lets enjoy the fact that in the end, we are on the same side, rooting for the same team and city.
