That's a lot harsher than I'm normally thinking, but yeah, in darker moments I've gone there.

Yeah, I tend to be more positive in general myself. Even when it doesn't make sense to be.

But this is a dismal situation. Not sure what silver linings we can actually conjure into being here. The product is unwatchable and not improving—may be even regressing with some guys doing little more than dress and skate circles. The coaching sucks. The team is built wrong. We have almost no cap. We're paying guys to play on other teams. We don't play young guys. We waive NHL players only to start looking for a replacement at the same position. We've got guys locked in to long term contract that aren't worth the money; they make RyJo's contract look not bad at all. The upcoming draft looks shallow.

I guess the good news is Saros is playing well and some of the kids look alright at times.

I'm going to go with "invalid source". There's been rumors of CBJ defense trades to Edmonton, sure, but they involve Provorov, not Jiricek.

An underperforming (well, he's still only 20 I think) prospect that seems to easily be disgruntled over playing time and doesn't want to be in the AHL (Viqsi will correct me). Sounds like a perfect fit.
