Stastney was last seen playing a pickup game of hockey up north somewhere. Its only my speculation but that hit he took in the playoffs may have really done a number on his noodle....so is this the post Fabbro move?
Also, where the hell is Stastney??
Yeah regardless of the cause I think it's pretty unlikely we see Stastney this year. Even if he gets ready to come back at some point it's pretty unlikely he's ready to jump straight into the NHL after seemingly barely playing for several months. Really a bummer for him after working to get into the NHL, but at least he got a solid payday this offseason.Stastney was last seen playing a pickup game of hockey up north somewhere. Wilsby is a steady, position type defender, who is going to play more of a defend first game? Correct assessment?Wilsby is a good recall. He’s more than just “paid his dues”. He’s a good solid defender. His play will be surprising for those that haven’t actually watched him.

If that were true Blankenburg would have been the call up.Of course he does. Undersized defensemen are his thing.
I think he’s not really that young anymore. He’s 24 and in his 6th season playing in men’s pro leagues? It’s a good time to bring him up and see if he’s going to be a part of the plans.Seems odd to bring up a young dman to sit one in the pressbox. I reckon we need a 7th dman for the road trip though. I reckon we dont want to tie ourselves to a 7th dman long term
Like Fabbro you mean.Don't need fancy numbers from a Dman, just find me one that can play responsible hockey and keep the puck in play to the forwards.
Wouldn’t disagree with this. Probably won’t be making high light reel plays good or bad. Consistent, responsible and solid. I like his game.Wilsby is a steady, position type defender, who is going to play more of a defend first game? Correct assessment?
Can he crash and front the net in the o-zone? Like a power forward?Wilsby is a good recall. He’s more than just “paid his dues”. He’s a good solid defender. His play will be surprising for those that haven’t actually watched him.

Wilsby? I don’t think I’ve ever seen him try. He’ll pinch and jump in on the rush when the opportunity arises. He’s not going to pull a Lauzon trying to be Forsberg type of play thoughSo Can he crash and front the net in the o-zone? Like a power forward?
Sounds like a left-handed Fabbro.Wilsby? I don’t think I’ve ever seen him try. He’ll pinch and jump in on the rush when the opportunity arises. He’s not going to pull a Lauzon trying to be Forsberg type of play though
Why not grab Crosby and Malkin while we're at it?
Heck yeah!!!Why not grab Crosby and Malkin while we're at it?
Oh come on...
Is he old enough?
Can we extend him 7 years? Is he old enough?
I'm even enjoying watching the Ducks more, and they are a horrific hockey club. Least the Kings are solid. You know what’s sad? I do not miss watching this team. Usually a three day break gives me the ick.
I’m so bullheadly monogamous I just cant watch any other team! Maybe I should just watch for players like ArvyI'm even enjoying watching the Ducks more, and they are a horrific hockey club. Least the Kings are solid.
It is remarkable how this club went from creating some...optimism toward end of last season, to some offseason excitement, to just utter apathy and disgust within a month+ of the season start
It's sad watching other teams because they all seem to be faster, younger, better and full of more promise than we are. Every time I watch a game it's like wow these guys are passing great and creating chances, kind of a bummer we don't have that.
