This isn't on Josi. He's playing a ton of minutes because that's the coach's choice. He'd be better served by having Fabbro and MDG in the lineup and spreading the minutes out. Heck, roll with 7 d-men and spread the minutes out. I think we played better with 11 forwards once McCarron was sat. Unfortunately, ZLH and Smith ended up sitting most of the time because the other 9 players were actually playing with some pace and zip to their game. It didn't amount to anything on the score sheet which sucked.
At the end of the day, whatever system is being used is not a fit for the players we've assembled and while I'm all for playing a coach's style, if you don't have the horses, you have to play a different style. If it means playing more defensively oriented, then do that because what we're all seeing 5 on 5 is not working. Funny how the PK has been as good as it's been yet even strength is abysmal. It's counterintuitive and makes absolutely no sense.
Here's the thing, if you're not getting the results with the players you're currently playing, try different players, try different lines.
