1) first came to my eyes from a YouTube conglomerator by the name of hot take hockey

2) did some google checking and it seems that hockey news was also picking up on that

3) ZiB is my idea. I looked over the roster of the rangers and said myself, which of these things would look better on the Nashville predators his contract is worse than Stemmers, but he is a center.

4) rangers fans would love to run Mika on rail, but I look at his stats and I say I’ve seen worse, also when I talk to them, they said they don’t like ZiB but couldn’t give me a clear notion why they want him gone

5) in my mind a treat would look like this stammer for Mika +1st. Why do I say that Mika‘s contract is slightly worse than stammers by two years and a half a million. That’s wise I would actually call them a push. Yes Staco has more goals, but Mika has way more assist and something tells me that this team needs to playmaker more than a goal score.

6) rangers were trying to pick up Stamkos last year

That is my timeline of knowledge
I don't think Zibanejad's contract is anywhere near worse enough to merit a 1st added on NYR side. In fact, I think it's far more likely that Preds would be the ones adding. Stamkos is totally cooked at 5v5. He can be a useful addition on the powerplay, with the right people around him (which NYR has). But as much as Z hasn't been great lately, he's still a useful player at even strength.

Bear in mind that even with those 2 extra years Z's contract runs to age 36 and Stammer's to 37.

I don't know how true this is or if it is but I heard there was some sort of real disagreement that happened between players in the locker room after the game Saturday. Don't have a lot of details but heard it was a massive blow up between two players.

I'd like to say "good" and that it might lead to productive changes, but all it will mean is a kid or character scrub gets benched/scratched/traded and the country club vets keep country clubbing.

I'm guessing it was Saros and Annunen arguing over who gets the Juice nickname. Annunen does have the better save percentage for us this season so I could see why he'd be incensed he has to give it up.

Well... i will say that the Ottawa game finally had a more even handed approach to TOI for the forwards. Younger players like Evangelista, Svechkov, Novak, etc were given around 14 mins TOI and Marh/Stamkos were limited to around 16 mins TOI. Evangelista accounted for 4 SOG and March + Stamkos had 1. Novak - 3, L'Heureux - 3, Svechkov - 2 (1 was a goal), hell Wilsby had 3 and he is a rookie dman. 2 of the 40G scorers we brought in had 1 SOG between them. Forsberg had 4 by himself as well. If those guys are sitting back waiting for someone to dish em a puck for a tap in, that isnt going to happen with the level of playmakers we have out there. They have to help create space and make shot opportunities.

This is part of why i think that the team needs an overhaul beyond just bruno but maybe if they just started winning it would straighten itself out. Too many "perennial winners" on a team in a major funk is going to make for an ugly locker room

Near where sand and waves meet.
Wins are too rare for inclusion in the auction. I did have to double take on the blueliner of the game.

Yeah this isn't my normal source so I'm not sure I believe it as much as other reports I've gotten. Not sure they even travel with the team.

I wouldnt doubt for a second that there is a ton of turmoil in the group at the moment. Vet goalscorers arent scoring goals.
Last goal
Forsberg - nov 25th - 7 games ago
Stamkos - nov 23rd - 8 games ago
March - dec 3rd - 3 games ago (prior nov 23rd)

These are the guys that on average should get a goal every other game. Forsberg is our goal leader and on pace for 26 goals. Stamkos is on pace for 20. March is on pace for 14. They have at times been given an absurd amount of ice time both EV strength and PP. The young kids arent stacking goals either but they arent being given the opportunity the older players are.

Meanwhile, a kid we traded away for a 4th in 3 years has 3G with his new team and a kid we lost to waivers has 3G with his new team.

I dont know what the solution is and neither do they but all that information is going to cause friction. Is it the coach and with that line combinations and everything else the coach controls? Maybe (i think so). Is it mental? Maybe (i think so). Is it the players or player mix? Maybe (i think so but we shouldnt be THIS bad).

has there been any chatter on O’Reilly at all? Just curious if there’s been discussion about possibly moving on from him if they decide to start selling.

There’s been chatter about moving any player under the sun here although because we have almost no center depth he’s one who is generally considered someone we should keep around. In any case, there is a massive disconnect between what the posters here want and what our FO is doing so what we think is almost completely irrelevant to what will actually happen.

We suck and are obviously going to suck. That said - our center depth is just terrible. Unless we get one heck of an offer, i dont see us moving from RoR.

Depending on the price, you have to put him out there. I wouldn't move him barring a crazy overpayment.

With respect to the lack of booing by the fans, I think the unfortunate reality is that the hardcore fans that used to drive this fanbase are largely priced out and now it's driven by corporate tickets, out of towners, and new Nashville types showing up for their annual Instagram pic. It's kind of funny how much how this team has mirrored the changes in Nashville more broadly and the loss of the soul that previously made it unique.

Empathy is worse than anger, and our lack of booing shows empathy. You boo when you have expectations, and they're not being met. We've stopped expecting to win. The points concerning the in-arena fans are spot-on. It's a sad by-product of success and growth. The question now is, are the Preds too big to fail? In the old days, attendance was fragile and a constant issue. We've "sold out" during this down streak. Will that continue because we have enough convention-goers, corporations, and tourism? We'll see.

For us hardcore originalists, the life is being sucked from us. Memories of Standing-O's during 3rd period timeouts are replaced with droning loss after loss with guys we don't even identify with. Who's left in the Real Pred Category? Josi, Forsberg, Sissons, and maybe Saros (Juuse has never really won anything for us. He's a mini-me, counterfeit Pekka Rinne). Everyone else is associated with losing or is new and under-performed thus far.

How did we get here?
