Habs fan here: great comeback last night. I knew your boys would make it interesting, in fact, I went to bed after regulation figuring you guys would win. It seems like Price stole this game for us and I'm afraid he will have to steal three more if we are to win this series. You guys are better than my boys, so the only chance we have is in one Carey Price. Anyhow, I'm sure there is no reason to panic knowing that one game is just one game. I would be SHOCKED if we won game two tomorrow, although naturally I hope we do. Hoping for a great entertaining series. Cheers.

I don't know why so many fans of opposing teams visit this board and post gracious messages. We don't pay the same courtesy around here.

Price didn't steal a thing... We shot it right at him 90% of the time, and the other times we couldn't bury wide open net chances.

Price was very good for 2 periods.. but he wasn't Vintage Hasik out there, like some are saying

Liked what I saw from Krejci last night...by far his best game of the playoffs. Now that he is over his flu, expect better performances from him going forward.

I like hockey and talking about hockey games, with anyone. I don't base my actions on what other people do. I'm my own man with my own convictions. I don't "hate" teams or fans of teams.

Krejci had the moves but NO finish like he usually does. Too cute with his passes. He did the same move on Price like three times. His across the ice passes were terrible. While he wasn't the only one, it was very noticable. Not Krejci like at all. I expect him to come out Saturday like his old self.

Krejci hasn't showed up to the playoffs yet really. I hope he starts producing soon. Seemed like the ice was bad in general last night though, didn't they have a commencement ceremony prior to the game?

On the other hand, it's pretty foolish to think that a professional would risk their career because they may or may not have liked the Canadiens as a 10-year old. Where do we draw the line? Say, you're from Quebec, and you like the Bruins. You're not exceptional: there are many B's fans in Quebec. Maybe these two officials were actually Bruins fans growing up!

Would it not be easier to have referees not born in North East fo USA and East of Canada involved in the games between Boston vs Canadiens.

For God's sake there is only one team from Canada. I think it should be easy to find 4 refs not borned in Eastern Canada.

I think it's more foolish to take the risk of having 2 refs who grew up so close to Bell Centre On Duty for those 7 games. We would not see that at Olympic Games.

Period! :amazed:

I feel like a lot of people here would be ******** on Krug more-so than Krejci for being "too cute" had he not scored shortly after he had that half open net chance on that pass from (Lucic?) that he should've shot right when he received the puck.

Krejci, Krug, and Marchand all suffered from a case of being too cute and their offense suffered. Well, except for the goal by Krug. That doesn't excuse the braindead TO's

Please drop names. Which retired Frenchies Quebecquers refs told us that they were Bruins fans when they grew up?

I can give you name of one who was on Molson's Pay Roll while at the same time he was on the Pay Roll of NHL. I can give you names of retired referees who are on the Pay Roll of RDS. RDS is owned by Bell Media. Does it rings some bells? :sarcasm:

Why is it so important to take this risk??? :shakehead

It sucks that the Bruins lost this game. They had so many opportunities to finish it. Having said that, the refs did play a part in the outcome of the game. To not call that too many men on the ice penalty is mind-boggling.

looks like thorty's saying "****..." before turning his head back to exclaim, "suck my ****..."

it is not what he said, for sure, but it looks like it and that makes it very funny to me

for the sake of precision, the first word he says would be the f-word, and the other one that has been replaced by asterisks would be the one that denotes the gender of a game bird and not the colloquial shortening of a name

I not sure if I would put Krug on that list he is still young so I'm not sure if he is just slow and has not mature at nhl game speed. But there is a chance you are right and he is being to cute with it. I just think it's to early in his career to tell.

That whole line dominated every time they were on the ice. All game long.

I live in Quebec province and I have been a fan of Bruins for almost 40 years.

FYI Bruins fans.

50% of referees (the ref Marc Joannette and the lineman Pierre Racicot) on duty yesterday were born in city of Verdun.

I can run the distance between the City Hall of Verdun to The home of Canadiens e.g. "Centre Bell" in about 30 minutes. Those 2 guys spent their childhood within a circle of 5 miles of "Bell Centre".

Could you tell me how the hell the NHL managed 2 dress to refs that were born so close to Montreal DownTown?

If we had 2 refs who were born close to the Garden there would still be riots in the streets of Montreal.

We Quebecquers should look in mirror after accusing CBC's Ron Maclean of beign a racist.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/ron-maclean-won-t-be-reprimanded-over-quebec-refs-comment-1.2618801

*sigh*

Good job Bettman! :handclap:
:handclap:

:handclap:Glad someone confirmed what I had a feeling was the case. Whenever Rooney the (Boston born) ref officiates a game he screws the Bruins to "prove" that he isn't biased. Makes me wonder why he needs to worry but guys like those two refs don't (need) to worry.
