I'm infuriated that we lost, but I'm not overly concerned. Notice, 3 out of 4 Habs goals were on the PP. B's need to stay out of the box, it will probably work wonders for them on Saturday.

As for the missed chances? Que the "face you made when Marchand missed the empty net" thread.

Honestly I didn't see any horrendous calls tonight, I've seen much worse. The team effort is certainly there, if the Bruins can just capitalize on more of their opportunities they will be successful.

Not that I'm blaming Rask for this loss; hell the Bruins had enough chances to have won the game 8-3 if only they cashed in. However, would the Bruins ever consider playing Johnson if it looked as if Rask and the team needed that kind of a shake up?

You could have countless, "face you made when..." posts tonight. Game was rough.

The point is consistency. It's something that NEVER seems to happen with the Bruins. That call wouldn't be made on the other end of the ice period, especially in ****ing OT.

Pretty well sums things up. Got to call it both ways. And you have to call too many men when you are looking right at it. Don't raise your arm selectively for one team. That's what happened tonight in OT. I'm ok with the Bruins getting interfered with all night and no calls being made as long as it cuts both ways. Refs were pretty consistent in regulation. To all of a sudden change the standard in double OT is pure bullcrap though.

You guys dominated them. As an outsider watching, they're opportunistic with their scoring, but without Price it would've been a completely different story.

Don't think he can keep play up at that level for too long.

Get a little more out of Rask and you guys should take the series.

Usually I'm pissed when the overtime goal goes in but tonight I saw it coming the instant the ref put his hand up and I'm oddly calm.

Also Bart had both hands on his stick the whole time so it was just a genuine **** call.

I'm more frustrated with Bartkowski. He was lucky Plekanec didn't score on the first turnover, and he really shouldn't have had that kind of trouble against a terrible player. Looked like he was playing D for Tampa Bay.

Seeing it again, no doubt that's a soft call. Especially considering the Habs had the last PP and you know, we were in double OT. Irks me even more. This loss is still on the missed opportunities though. Can't blow that many point blank chances. No excuse.

It's true...but wouldn't something directly in front of the net qualify as a no brainer?

Some interference in the neutral zone is whatever in OT...but a play like that in front of the net with the puck on the stick will be called tighter. Like I said, if that was say Lucic wrapping around, I'd be livid if it wasn't called.

The too many men led to an equally good scoring chance for Montreal as that hold robbed them of. Especially since he probably wouldn't even have got the chance even if he wasn't held (if he was), because Bart would have been a presence and played the body or the puck anyway. Refs were a minimal factor in the game, but with three PP's and two PP goals for the team that had something like half as much possession, it's pretty significant anyway.

Having said that, Bruins will win 4 straight now, even though Habs will play slightly better than they did tonight. :handclap:

Marchand is killing me. He's not doing anything useful, takes stupid penalties, makes bad passes, doesn't stay on his feet, and he even made the Montreal game saving stop tonight. If he doesn't turn it around, he needs to be shipped out of town.

Call me crazy, but I probably would put Iggy on line 3 and Eriksson on line 1 like now. I don't need another loss to do it.

I can't say I was surprised, but I'm still pretty heated about the whole thing.

The Bruins failure to pot just 1 of their 9 thousand golden opportunities is going to give me nightmares.

Montreal really had no business winning that game. We hit a post, a cross bar, played the entire game in their zone. Keep that up and we'll win in 5 or 6 even despite the refs.
