if you go to the jets web site and watch the Appleton goal you might get a laugh listening to him yell at the top of his lungs after he scored "yeah f****n right boys"
Appleton goal celebrations are on par with Ovi’s

Laine is not in the same group as those guys but he is even younger and played a very good game too. Nice to see.

You know, sometimes I forget that Laine is at least 2 years younger than everyone on the team except Roslovic who is only a year older.

Lemieux/Appleton/Ehlers/Connor/Niku all at least 2 years older.... and THEY are young.

Kind of puts some perspective on things.

Craig Button and Dutchi going crazy over the Jets depth. Button "Jets are the best development team in the league!"

This team is finding ways to win against most teams.
They really stepped up their play against Vegas, Tampa, Washington and Nashville.

I think we will be running on all cylinders come playoff time.

But I thought we played well only against bottom feeders :sarcasm:

And this was without Buff and Ehlers.

Let's tell it like it is.

Brendan Lemieux can play hockey. He was so good at using his body position tonight.

Kyle Connor can play hockey.

Bryan Little is a legit 2C

Joe Morrow isn't that bad. We could have Dan Hamhuis.

Sami Niku is starting to feel it. Which is good for us and our defensive depth.

Kulikov-Myers are a capable 2nd pair, luckily they are our 3rd pairing.

Connor Hellebuyck is making this goalie controversy a good thing, because no one is losing their job, just increasing their worth.

Paul Maurice is a good coach.

We are the best in our division. Better than the refs, better than the rest.

Niku needs to stay in the line up.
Awesome game. Great win over Nashville. Business as usual as far as I'm concerned. :thumbu:
Not a Lemieux fan at all but I also didn't like Tanev and somehow he has proven to be an incredibly useful part so we'll see. Both were major parts of the win last night.

A lot to like about that game. Niku was terrific and I thought was Laine’s best game in awhile. It was nice to see the fourth line get some success after being invisible for a little while. I still don’t like what I see from Lemieux. I liked his first goal, though it absolutely should have been saved. I think he has terrible vision and decision making with the puck. I rarely see him look for the open man in the neutral zone and I guess I’d rather him dump it in than turn it over, but it still seems like he’s too panicky. The two goals are nice on the stat sheet but I still don’t see it with him.

regarding crowd noise..... what's the deal? it sounds like it's going off in there but the crown never actually seem to be cheering? what gives?

I dunno, honestly, I only remembering laughing like Brian Blessed after hearing their tired, defeated "Thanks, Paul!" hymn when there was one minute left in the third period.

Reminded me of this:

The way the Jets' fast and heavy 4th line bossed around the Preds in their zone must be a worry for the Preds, who already are at a big size disadvantage vs the Jets.

Pittsburgh media: Nashville not a 'hockey town,' Preds using fake crowd noise

Presented without any edits, Kingerski's claims:

I'm convinced the Bridgestone Arena is using the PA to amp crowd noise. Facts–the arena plays warm-up and in-game music at 110-112dbs, as measured by my own device. At the height of the crowd mania in Game 4, I believe my radio trained ears heard the pops and cracks of over-modulation. Lastly, the sound levels are never shown in the arena, unlike every other arena in which I've covered games.
Why would the "record holder" not show the sound level? The loudest the sound meter (on my iPhone) hit was about 114dbs. 114 is a great number and the crowd is engaged for a full 60 minutes. People don't leave 10 minutes early to hit the bars or beat traffic.
However, I believe I call "bunk" on the 130dbs claim, at least achieved organically. However, the Predators are welcome to prove it.
