I will say the Arena hasn't been the loudest in Winnipeg the games I've been too. our fan base is there but it'as a quiet intensity....it gets loud if the Jets score..or are up in a game, but it's hard to get a Go Jets Go chant going, and there's no more booing, no more chants....We need to pick up the slack

Pretty sure it's a mix of three reasons:
1. Honeymoon is over.
2. No exit policy, preventing people from hopping over to Tab/Met for cheap beers during intermission.
3. Super passionate people who bought early on, but have been priced out once contract renewals came about.

Good Helle
Good Niku
Good Laine
Good Lemieux
Good depth
Good team effort.

Completely outclassed the Preds in their barn. The Jets are a much faster team than Nashville, man did that show last night.

The biggest thing that stood out for me was the way the Jets adapted to every situation. They managed the puck well and made smart decisions . Quick outlets, great transition, good dump ins, carried it over the blue line when it was there. Tight neutral zone game and they played with a blistering pace.

Nice PK (not Subban), held the blue line really well. I've often observed that when the Jets are at their best, they play hard at their blue line, tight in the neutral zone and transition like hell . That was last night.

I thought it was the best overall team effort so far this season and it never seemed like we would relinquish control.
The Preds had 37 shots but it didn’t seem that way.
I was impressed that the team skated their asses off and didn’t let the poor reffing get to them outwardly.
That was probably a defining game.

PS..,Johansen like I said in the GDT before he pole axed Scheifele is a dbag although my language wasn’t that harsh.
Good player but dirty and I hope he gets his soon.

Never liked Johansen, I hope Buff gives him a little “talking” to next game.

Nobody can now say the Jet's haven't beaten any elite teams :

In the last 3-4 weeks they've beaten :

1) Predators -- very good team.

2) Tampa -- probably the best in the NHL

3) Golden Knights

4) Sharks

5) Capitals - 2018 Stanley Cup Champions

I don't know what you have to do-- but I'd say those are really good teams we've just beaten. We just beat the Predators and made it look easy. We have beaten these elite teams missing guys like Buff and Ehlers --"not to bad at all."

This Jet's team is for real and a legitimate --Stanley Cup contender.

After watching that game, and with that effort, does anyone still think we need to give up a first rounder, a player and a prospect for a 3 month rental?
Jets have what they need to win without risking the future. That became clear last night.
When they want it bad enough, they are a championship caliber team.

I think the Jets if injury luck goes there way and they like the way the team is progressing can instead go for sneaky depth trades. Low key additions that are just the right fit. Give up and 3rd and 5th or something for a couple of rentals that can add to the team without being the focal point of our run. Less cost and more of an insurance move.

We all remember how Stempniak looked like a god compared to our usual depth crap in 2015.
I trust Chevy and his staff could find a great value add.

Laine in the slot compressed the D more so the outside lanes are more open, but the seam pass has disappeared. Scheif doesn’t have the same shot from the left hash that Patty does either. Only benefit is not having watch Laine turn it over at the blue line.

The other benefit is that teams seem to almost ignore Wheeler when he has the puck. That crazy pressure everyone was using turns into a tight triangle on 29. As long as the other 4 guys execute at a high enough level it could work for a while. Sucks to play decoy but hell if 3 guys are going to pay that much attention to him we should be able to capitalize in other ways. When they do have an extended possession that hasn't produced good looks that's when they should easily cycle Laine and Scheif through each others spots. That simple movement can create confusion and the time and space to mess them up in the transition.

Let the other fans think otherwise. They’ll be disappointed when they find out what the reality is.
I’m convinced the team is saving themselves for the playoffs.

5% increases are no fun for anyone. Inflation is usually around 1-2%

I wish someone would make Philadelphia Collins' t-shirt with the Preds logo and mustard stains on it.

I'm telling you, the ridiculous intensity of last year's playoffs have spoiled regular season games for much of the crowd. We're just saving it up for when the real games begin again.

Having said that the Tampa game had great energy, as did Vegas. I think if last night's game was in Winnipeg, it would have been pretty raucous .
