Patrik Laine has 27 points in 27 games this year. Both teams did VERY well in this deal.
No to mention Roslovic's 20 pts playing on the 3rd line.

Be assertive like this young lady.
Scheifele has been a lot better since the break. The points are there but he's also playing a much sounder all around game. That was the biggest thing this team needed to happen.
Ya but Dubois is better.
That's a pretty high bar for Chevy. You won the trade, but you should have won it by moreThe values of the 2 packages are close enough to not quibble about.
But when the values are close, the winner is whichever team got the single best player in the deal. So Jets & Chevy won. Though I still think we should have gotten more than a 3rd as the throw in.

I was going to say girl but Lady was funnier to me.Not surprisingly, we have a completely different definition of "lady" from each other.
Great gif, though!
Really don’t understand the teams reluctance to try something different than this tbh. Honestly, this lineup construction hasn’t worked for them since 17-18 and they expect it to just magically reappear with essentially the same players, none of who have been as good since then.I agree with Lowry on the third -
I also expect to see Wheels staying with Scheif -
When Ehlers returns, Copp is heading to the third with Lowry - and that line will take some of the pressure off the top 6 as far as minutes go.
There will be some scoring on that line but I can see their priority as shut down being the focus.
Top 9 will see most of the minutes - top 6 will be expected to supply most of the offence.
The 4th will be the 4th - sub 10 minutes / game or less if they are trailing on the score board.
I don't think they have the players to do much more with the lineup? 17-18 our defense was far and away the best grouping we have ever had. I'd look there for the difference between then and now.Really don’t understand the teams reluctance to try something different than this tbh. Has to be a better way to deploy them imo.
That’s awesome! I love hearing stories like that.My driveway is well over two hundred feet long and I can get some pretty fair-sized drifts.
A neighbour comes with his big tractor and bucket and informed us at the beginning of the winter last year that he will not be accepting anyting for cleaning the driveway.
When we told him we didn't feel right not giving him anything, he said get in line with other neighbours because he isn't accepting anything from them either!
What a treat to watch him skate. Just incredible. Holding onto the puck while skating in big wide circles backwards at full speed. Man can he skate.Feel like Morrissey deserves a lot of praise this year. After having a rough couple years he's really turned it around. Easily worth his contract playing like this.
Every goal that goes in, even on a clear cut breakaway, was a statistical stinker. This is not soccer, where on a free kick, the goalies are literally playing a guessing game as about a 3-1 underdog. Assuming you view tip-in efforts as statistical efforts (and not "if it went in, it was good, otherwise, it was bad"), goalies are favorites to stop everything.
This is why Vezina winners have a 1 in 6 chance of being league average in a 15 game run (and vice versa).
This is why a reasonable sample size for goalies is measured in the *thousands* of shots.
At the end of the day, there is no better indicator of Bucky's performance than looking at his performance and the percentile chance that, if it were "all luck", a random goalie would outperform him.
It really is that 'voodoo'.
Really though? When Ehlers is back it’s not worth trying Stastny with Wheeler and Harkins of Svech? I love Lowry and agree he serves a role on the team for more than 5 minutes a game. But his offense is such a detriment to the team for his TOI and he simply doesn’t shut down top 6 opposition like he used to.I don't think they have the players to do much more with the lineup? 17-18 our defense was far and away the best grouping we have ever had. At least once a game? Didn’t he just shut out the Wild?
He can let in some stinkers, you watch many other goalies regularly? They do too. Helle is far from a bad goal every game.

He gets too much flack about his poor defense. He’s been better in that regard this season but for the most part he’s managed to outscore that deficiency in the past. No, I think Connor has often been underappreciated on this discussion board during his time here.

Roslo is 4th line with the Jackets now
I feel your pain, but in a different way.
This year, for the first time, I had a roofing company shovel my flat roof. Usually I do both the sidewalk and roof but couldn't get up because my usual access point was snowed in.
Suffice to say I paid more for that single service than you did for your entire season of shovelling. My wife says she is relieved because one of these days I will fall (yada yada) but the pain of writing that single cheque was major trauma in itself!
Dubois just read this. Connor and Dubois have both been very good this season. While I agree, he has risen in ranking this year because he has improved in several areas. He has clearly been our best winger, maybe our best forward. That wasn't always the case in the past.
