Speaking of Glam...

Glam original...

And you youngsters out there... doubt most of you have seen this...

Old Grey Whistle Test on the BBC from 1972...

One of My favorite artists of all time...

Ps... bonus points for anyone who can identify the 3 back up artists...

Yeah, not a fan but then again nobody in my circles likes the music I listen to and my wife absolutely hates it

Megadeth is not for everyone...

I would suggest it's in your DNA...

Bob Marley and the Wailers...

A core of My buds in High School... their parents immigrated from the Caribbean...

I grew up with Peter Tosh... Jimmy Cliff... Third World... and Bob Marley...

If you were to just show up out of the blue on any given day in the summer at my place... you'd find me just chilling in the shade on my deck... over looking the pool... drinking cool brews listening to reggae... pretty even odds any given day... makes me happy...

This was peak Megadeth with their best lineup, Nick (RIP) was a great drummer

I respect this (Marty Freidman was an arpeggio monster) but Gar Samuelson and Chris Poland were the OG members. Poland was absolutely stupid fast and accurate in his soloing. He had a weird straight finger tech for bends and shredding that was sublime. Samuelson was no slouch either.. both he and Poland were originally jazz/jazz-fusion players.

I don't get an allergic reaction...

I do know if I put it on in my truck... it's on my 2 terabyte portable music drive...

I'm told to switch it.... or my passengers will want out... like 99% of them...

Not sure why... just a pretty consistent thing...

True enough but commercially they really hit their stride with Menza and Friedman whose playing I prefer and that's what Mustaine wanted, that and wanting to be bigger than Metallica for obvious reasons. Nowadays I really don't listen to any of their more recent offerings.

I was perusing the 100 greatest Metal Albums a few weeks ago reviewed by Rolling Stone...

No Testament... they had Twisted Sister and Van Halen... surprised I didn't see Dolly Parton...

I sure you didn't see Dolly she kinda pops off the page. Sales, sales and more sales both those bans sold millions of units

I'm going to leave you all tonight with some lighter fare

Reminds me of my Father...

In College had a Jazz band in Guelph/Waterloo, Toronto... helped pay his way through his Veterinary Medicine... played Trumpet, Sax, Xylophone... sang a bit also...

Then in the late 60's my Dad was inspired by Mason Williams, Classical Gas...

Then Eric Clapton... then Andres Segovia hit him... a self taught genius... this inspired my Dad...

Got all hardcore, got the bug and set out to make instructor level at Classical Guitar and related...

He achieved his goal... then promptly quit... arthritis...

This following one is 45 minutes long... my Father could play all of these proficiently like his hero Segovia...

Always keep those memories in a small corner of your brain and visit them as often as you want, it really helps me when I'm down

Thats a killer tale John.

Mason WIlliams' tune is outstanding. Been trying to master it and tweak it for ever.

I like this arrangement.
