I have to work right away. This is sort of a remembrance day kind of song i used to like as a little kid.
Nobody in Australia seemed to have a clue who Angel City was, but they knew The Angels.
Another great modern jazz tune...
Put it on your playlist for driving...
Glide through the wheat fields, sunsets... the center-line at night...
Now this is how modern Jazz should be played...
Elements of Carlos Santana... bright... uplifting... makes you just want to move with it...
3 tunes... so some chatter from the host... advance to hear the set if you don't like the banter...
It would be so cool to be able to just show up at one of the most famous guitar shops in the World...
And blow people away... just pick it up and ride...
Featured in this video..
Joe Bonamassa, Colin Hay, Larry Carlton, Josh Smith, Kirk Fletcher, Tony Miaden...
Mark Lettieri, Tim Pierce, Pete Thorn, Laurence Juber, Don McLean, Chad Watson...
Albert Lee, Jason Scheff, Grant Geissman, Jason Sinay, Pat Simmons, Jared James Nichols...
Michael Lemmo, Sarah Rogo, Orianthi, Richie Sambora, and Frank Stallone....
And oh... In the comments on that YouTube thread someone says despairingly says "why are they mostly old"...
And a truly wise guy says "because, that's how long it takes"...
So true...
Word...
Jazz?
The True Loves are more of a funk/ soul outfit brother , at least in my humble opinion. They’re like a modern day funk brothers. Great musicians.
They miss Grace Love though.
great tune hadn't heard that one in awhile
had to post this as it reminded me i thought of hey covid-19 way back when this started, trying to keep it light
Pretty much all modern music is a derivative of Jazz, but fair enough. I’m only pulling your leg but they have so much of that Motown/Muscle Shoals thing going on.Jazz isn't cool... now apparently... so I hear... eye roll from Me...
Funk is a derivative of Jazz, R&B, Soul and the city...
The True Loves start at Jazz... inject other things...
They are not Funk... nor just Soul...
Not that it matters...
And dare I say they are feeling their roots to anything they performed previously on what they made money on...
Different for them... soul full...

Here’s some fine jazz
Spent many nights in University cramming with these dudes on.
Now I'll pull your leg... this is a derivative of something...
But I love it... because it makes Me laugh...
