Big, big Dire Straits fan, and Knopfler's solo work as well. He skipped us on his last tour, played Minneapolis and I was in Vancouver when he was there, but secondary prices just kept climbing and climbing so I opted out as the cheapest ticket I could get day of was approaching $500. Was staying on Granville in a not really nice part because hotels were so booked at that time I couldn't get closer to downtown for work. Would have been very cool though as he was playing the Commodore. I've only seen him twice, once solo, sometime in 20xx and with Dire Straits in 1988 when he toured with Eric Clapton. Not much guitar talent on the stage that day.

Brothers in Arms is one of my favourite songs (by anybody) and this is my favourite live version. To borrow a phrase, he just seemed to hit all the right notes for me in this performance.

Fueled up at the ‘Jaw...

And was feeling stiff and butt hurt back on the road...

I let this play...

If you need a sing-a-long...

While trying to do the dance moves (within reason)...

Loosin’s you up...

The guy in the crap-box Korean car that flew by Me thought I was nuts...

Dude, the Burt Man lives in the Jaw now. Shoulda put on some Guess Who.

One I missed...

Funk soul brother & sisters...

Part of the ‘Jaw to Speedy’ traverse...

As part of a group of groomsmen & bridesmaids I once danced a choreographed version from the movie She’s All That at a wedding party to this Fat Boy Slim tune...

It was fun to practice... fun to do...

Not so sure I am limber enough anymore...

Did a run to “The Hat” from Manitoba today...

Was a glorious sunny day to drive the TransCanada...

Dry roads... little traffic...

Listened to 1290 until Virden... then started to listen to My USB HD collection...

When I hit the Saskabush border I let this ditty play...

Appropriate...

Saw Tom back in the late 80's at the Concert Hall, it was fantastic......I think. I had a few and the only thing I remember, other than likely having a good time, was him walking on stage with a sheet of plywood and him taking it with when he left, with a hole in it from his stomping boot.. He lived up to his name.
