Watching Dach glide up that wing and leave Malkin in his dust was breathe taking. Kid is smoooooth.

Crazy, crazy game that Montreal absolutely deserved to win. Not a great game by Allen. His .833 save percentage tonight is going to hurt his overall save percentage, which is already at .907. This will lower it.

We won despite not getting the goaltending, which hasn't happened in a long, long time. This team is fun to watch. They just go, go, go.

If Rangers lose to Preds tonight (they're down 2-1 in 3rd), we move into WC2. We're 2 pts back of 2nd place Toronto with a game in hand. Damn.

He's not a complete player. He just is becoming again what he's supposed to be : a scorer. He comes with side effects like turnovers and bad defensive plays. We have to live with that. It's part of the deal. But at least he will become very tradable at TDL.

It was a gamble, a healthy Dach will just get better and better. Hugues gambled he was going to be healthy, the Hawks traded a guy based on his play when injured. Takes gust and insider knowledge to just go get the kid but eh, he knows stuff we don't know and that's why he's the GM... I absolutely love what Hugues/Gorton did with this team.

The contract he signed makes this even better...

I was actually hoping for a KK type contract, an 8 years potential deal as I was sure he'll figure it out eventually.

The PP failed all game but finally saved us at the end.

I was skeptical when Dach was put on the 1st line but he has been great since then. Slowly becoming a fan.

Oh and huge 4 on 3 kill by the guys .

We still committed too many turnovers in our zone in general though. Not the best game by our D's (and Allen).

Evans finally scored his 1st. Baby steps. Next time it will be in the right net.

- Habs Hockey is fun again
- Absolute steal from Hugues on Dach
- Hugues getting a 1st to eat Monhan's contract is silly
- Suzuki 10 goals, Caufield 9 goals with 15 games in, when was the last time we saw that
- Guhle 7 points in 15 games, just impressive
- Kids are all looking good and that's very refreshing.

This core is looking extremely promising already and we still have a lot of picks to come in the next few years.

This is the first time in...maybe 20 years that i'm truly excited about what's coming. This time i really think this team in on the right way and that Gorton , Hughes and MSL are the perfect fits for this transition toward a change of philosophy.
