The rookie Dman Guhle starts OT against Crosby, Guentzel and Letang. This has been unheard of for Habs teams of the last 40 years.

Habs dominated tonight's game despite it going to OT and are 2 and 0 vs the Pens without Matheson. It's like we gifted them Petry and Poehling for nothing and we're still beating them.

Remember when people thought Dach was a bust at age 21 after we acquired him?

That was about as entertaining of a 3rd period as I've seen from the Habs in a while. I'd rather they get another high pick this year but not gonna lie that was very fun and entertaining to watch in the 3rd and OT.

It was a gamble, a healthy Dach will just get better and better. Hugues gambled he was going to be healthy, the Hawks traded a guy based on his play when injured. Takes gust and insider knowledge to just go get the kid but eh, he knows stuff we don't know and that's why he's the GM... I absolutely love what Hugues/Gorton did with this team.

At this point, it's ok to don't have a top 5 pick. Kirby Dach play like a 3rd overall pick right now. Habs have a lot of talent right now, Suzuki, Caufield, Slafkovsky, Dach with prospects like Mesar, Farrell, Heineman, Beck. We have aalready a great young D core with Guhle, Xhekaj, Harris, add Mailloux, Barron, Hutson and more like Struble...

Did anyone have us with an identical record as the Florida Panthers after 15 games in? With almost the same GF/GA?

The first line was terrific again tonight. It's so much fun to watch them play. Dach has been the perfect addition, and has looked and played great. He made a lot happen out there.

Xhekaj and Guhle are the cornerstones of the defense for the next decade. Guhle is just so fast and poised, while Xhekaj oozes confidence and seems to grow more comfortable out there each game.

Fun game to watch, this team never quits on St Louis.
