Sure there will probably be a contract coming back. No way in hell it's Gallagher's unless MTL wants to pay through the nose.

We are not desperate for Boeser. Only interested. Habs know Gallagher's contract is more of a negative vs Boeser. Some will say straight up but that's not fair. Future would have to be added but we are not trading a 1st rounder during our rebuild/transition years so we would just live with Gallagher during that timeframe. Maybe his last 2 years are a problem if we want to bring in someone else but that's a problem for another day with a higher cap at that time.

No offense but I'm not even sure I'd do Armia and a 3rd for Boeser. You might feel insulted but I can't control that part. All we can do is talk and it likely goes nowhere.

The challenging part with fans is we really don't know who is calling to inquire about Boeser and what they are actually offering. If someone offers more than us, we won't go higher type thing.

Gallagher needs Montreal's first+ for each year Gallagher is signed for. That contract for that player is awful.

Errrhhhmmmm he actually does have a job. But yeah, Gallagher is untradeable due to contract and is obviously a candidate for LTIR.
Habs are about as good as Tampa with LTIR usage so Gallagher is where the NHL needs him to be.

Armia, Pitlick, and a 3rd rounder maybe. Not even sure I would do that. Boeser's cap hit is higher than Armia and Pitlick and not sure I like absorbing cap.

Dadonov and Armia and a 3rd rounder? Could do Armia and a 3rd for Boeser with some retention to even the cap out a bit. Boeser has one more year in term.

Or Hoffman for Boeser straight up

Canucks may not like these offers but that's basically what we would offer and I bet other teams are doing the same.
Well that offer would free up a little bit of cap room but basically give us 2 extremely redundant wingers and a 3rd rounder?

I'm not sure Boeser brings back much more and maybe just try to get some different draft picks for him, which I do understand in the post Covid Cap era is a diffcult thing but that's what is so frustrating about the Canucks resigning him in the first place.

Habs offers are low when you compare it to Boeser's value before. I get that. If not a trade with the Habs, I am curious to see where he goes and what is returned. There will be a contract coming the other way and then with futures.

Personally, I would not rush a trade. Let him play for a while yet. I don't imagine his value going down from where it is now
