Wouldn't be helping us. Our defensive breakdowns are killing usHusso?

Watching game today. Thought we played fairly well first half and then wheels fell off. Not sure what happened but we got sloppy and everything ended up in our net. I thought our D were particularly bad, turning pucks over and losing coverage. Miko may have worst puck skills in entire league; the other guys made some bad mistakes but he just can’t transition puck at all.
he is in for miko tonight. We need to give Calle Rosen a chance.
he is in for miko tonight.
miko needs to play with someone who excels in transition, even if they are not as good in own end, to cover for each other's weaknesses. neither parayko nor borts are good partners for him.Great. For all Mikkola's faults, he is our only D who knows what to do in front of the net. The rest of our D either just stand there doing nothing or skate pirouettes while watching the opposing team score.

better we have guy like miko who repeatedly gives puck back to opponent? it doesn't have to be either or.People keep saying transition over and over. So we go out and get Faulk, Krug and Leddy. All excel in transition. Yet our D core still sucks major ass. Because you got to get the puck on your stick to transition it. If you cannot win a board battle and cannot keep the opposing team from owning the crease, all the transition in the world doesn't help.

guy like faulk will always have some level of turnovers because he so often has puck and is actually looking to make plays. but yes, we should balance pairs. as i said above, "miko needs to play with someone who excels in transition, even if they are not as good in own end, to cover for each other's weaknesses. neither parayko nor borts are good partners for him."No better we balance the pairs rather than throw Mikkola away. And its not repeatedly. Mikkola has 4 giveaways in 7 games vs Faulk's 6. They are right on pace with each other on a per minute basis.
