It is not a coach issue, if you want to blame people who are not on the ice then blame Armstrong. He constructed this mess

I blame people like Parayko, ROR, Schenn and Tarasenko before I blame the coach. Totally under performing and not even close to good enough defensively.

So there really IS such a thing as a dumpster fire! I always wondered where that saying came from. I guess I don't walk through enough alleys.
Only thing worse is a floating dumpster fire

It was really disheartening to see the palpable change in effort after Tarasenko's goal. They kicked it into another gear. Where the f*** was that all game? You shouldn't have to go down 3 goals and then close it within 2 to get a jump to your game.

Guhle looks like he is going to be very good for them. Credit to Montreal for taking a game that was there for them to take. Blues missed so many opportunities on net and turned the puck over in their own zone all night, they performed very poorly. Hung Binnington out to dry and Montreal jumped on opportunities and deflected the puck skillfully.

First period Monday is going to be damn interesting.

Were any of the goals his fault? Just being on the ice when someone else f***s up isn't that damning. I honestly don't remember him messing up, but I need to re-watch the goals to be sure.
Kyrou was on ice for 3 Goals, all in the 3rd period.

Goal 1: Faulk made a pass up ice from the defensive Zone that was picked off by Dvorak and Dvorak scored. Kyrou was coming back into Defensive Zone when Goal was scored.

Goal 2: Shot came from the RHD and pinballed in from a Tip from Dvorak. Kyrou was covering LHD

Goal 3:Empty Net Goal. Kyrou was on other side of Ice.

Tarasenko comments were more telling than anything.

Oh no I wasn't blaming him for the goals. I don't think any were his fault, but hard to score 2 goals then go -2 on top of it. But happens when team just flat out lays a goose egg.

He asked if it was Kyrous fault. I just said what happened on those plays and where Kyrou was on said plays. I think this game is where Kyrou gets out of his rut.

But we need waaaaaay more out of RoR, Tarasenko, and Parayko. Especially RoR and Parayko.

Schenn is doing his part to the best he can. He's rocking 9 points in 7 games. And has a point in all but one game.

Tarasenko has 7 points in 7 games but he had 3 straight games without until tonight where he got a point after we were down 3.

Parayko and RoR combine for less than Half of Tarasenko, and RoR is a -10. And Parayko is Dr Jekylle and Mr Hyde. He has one game he looks unstoppable, and then looks like a muffin the very next game.

Zackly!

Plus he scored a goal at ES, so that is a +1, which means his -2 is worse.

I didn't watch the game. Purely going off scoresheet.
I mean fair I guess. The first goal was on Faulk bad bad pass straight to Dvorak. Third goal was more on Tarasenko (the player next to Dvorak when he shot the puck down the ice). Goal two was on the full team. But was a good tip by Dvorak at the same time.

The Oilers made the WCF last year playing that way, so :dunno::dunno::dunno:

Oof-bagoof! What a laugh-fest; oh wait, no one is laughing...

Team game boys, Chief, and the locker room leaders have a lot to do to make this team look like it is NHL-ready.

This year the wife decided to start watching games with me, she gave up after the EDM loss. Maybe she'll watch it again at some point. (she is not from the Lou and never knew what hockey was until we met)
