One is a crime, the other is not.

One was done at a much older age, one was done barely as a teen.

Yes, a lesser act.

gotcha, a young teen getting verbally (racially), psychologically, and physically abused for a long period of time isnt as bad as what Mailloux did.....

You must be a great parent. (hopefully not one)

I don't understand why a storied and respected organization like Montreal did this. They don't need him and the bad publicity that comes with him. They should have traded his rights. I'm sure there's at least one team in the league that would have jumped at the chance to sign him.
I'd imagine because he earned the opportunity both with his play on the ice but more importantly his behavior off of it.

Fair enough.

I'm sure in time Mailloux can realize the potential that made him a first round pick anyway, even if this scandal follows him throughout his career.

Didn't stop Doug Gilmour, or a long list of other NHLers who've been down this road before. :dunno:
I sure hope too.

Gilmour and what he 'allegedly' did was wayyyy worse in my opinion and from a legal/moral standpoint as well.

14 years old vs just short of 18 years old.

Yeah.

He did though, stop repeating false information.

Some organizations cut sex offenders (Buffalo Bills), some sign them (Montreal Canadiens).
a 17 year old sharing a pic of himself receiving a sexual act in order to GLOAT to your friends is dumb, immature, and he should be punished for it. Hes owned up to it, apologized profusely, and is working on being a better person....

But for you to suggest its on the same lines as say: forcing yourself on a girl who says no, raping an unconscious girl, etc etc

seriously man?

Nope, according to swedish law the sex crime is one sub-category of offensive photography. Sorry I can't find a source on swedish law for you in french fir you.
You sound so sure but again you're wrong. Since you're obviously Swedish I'll get those sources for you.

Offensive photography(Kränkade fotografering) Chapter 4, paragraph 6a
Sex crimes(Sexualbrott) all of chapter 6

As long as the sexual act is consensual, these pictures are not a sex crime as per definition of Swedish law. Which is why Logan was convicted of offensive photography and not any sex crime.

As you said earlier, maybe just accept that you're wrong. But I doubt you will and I don't feel like and don't know how to better explain it to you. This is the last from me in here.

Sorry if I broke any rules with the Swedish links
