Jesus, MB just can't get enough :handclap:

Great trades, if this was the 1990's...but it's not and he's acquiring bottom line/pair "gritty" players when they need top 6 scoring, since last year.

Thats a horrible trade for Habs. Martinsen is not good. He is big, can hit but he is not a very good NHL player. Believe me, i have watched him alot because i am norwegian. I want him to be good because we need other players than Zuccarello in the NHL for the sport to grow in our country but Martinsen is the definition of a 4th liner who will never be more than a 4th liner.
If you want to run 4 lines, you cant have a player like Martinsen in your lineup. Just not good enough imo. I said before the season that if Avs are playing him regularly they have depth problems at forward position. Which they clearly have. Andrighetto can easily be a decent middle 6 forward going forward. No chance Martinsen can be anything close to that. Steal for Avs.

So ends the overrating of Andrighetto...

I had hopes for him, but he was never able to establish an identity. In 2013, in the Q playoffs, he was every bit as good as Drouin and MacKinnon. Not an exaggeration. He's demonstrated that he can produce in the AHL. He just can't put all together.

Someone got fleeced here... but I really have no idea who or why and I'll wager no one else does.

We easily lost this trade, Andrighetto will be a good player, heck hes already a good player.

That being said he did go through waivers and no one claimed him, always felt like he never got a chance to prove himself. Underrated player.

Decent gamble for Colorado as Andrighetto still has potential as a top-9. Hasn't showed much though and I am not sure he has enough talent to overcome the obvious lack of hockey sense and size.

No idea about Martinsen.

How can someone that follows the Habs conclude that Andrighetto is a good player? You guys are living in a parallel universe I swear.

Talented yes, good player, nope! He had his chances and just couldn't contribute. Too bad the Habs couldn't get a pick for him instead or Martinsen. IMO, Sven is worth a 4th
