Well like everyone else I swore that cheap ass Cole lived up to his reputation but I went back and watched again and I gotta say Andy indeed deserved a penalty. If it was just his arm like I thought at first glance then yes, it was bs but he actually did the foot sweep from behind and lifted Cole's leg up. That will flip a guy back as he tries to cut in on net. I'm glad for the point in all.

Pshhhh get this valid argument out of here, it was the refs fault!! :sarcasm:

Personally I thought Kovy had a ****** game. He was by far not the worst player, but I bring this up because of the shootout. It was just one of those games where it looked like he probably wouldn't have scored in the shootout. Then you gotta wonder who else we put in after Patty.

I don't know why we got a point "we didn't deserve." Our goals were legitimate, real goals. Did we play our best game? Absolutely not. But Marty made the saves, we killed off the penalties, and we even had to deal with some missed calls. Surprised we got a point? Sure. But the tying of this game wasn't an accident or handed to us by the refs. I am proud that this team managed to get that far even on a day that they aren't playing their best game.

Frustrating end to this game, but I'll be happy with a loss that gives the team a point any day.

Greene was reaching for the puck. He can't sweep his leg and reach for the puck at the same time. Cole just fell back and Greene was trying to stabilize himself.

Sorry dude, when you have > 25 posts and come out of the woodwork to criticize Devil fans, it's going to come off troll-ish.

Cole was grabbing his arm. His momentum took Green's body that way. That was a dive. Total bs call.

And I don't necessarily think we deserved the point, but Montreal, in no way shape or form, deserved it anymore than us.

Whatever.. coming back from 2-0 is nice we got a point.

Last time we were 4-0 we didn't even make the playoffs #optimistic

Start flexing your ignore list guys, don't feed the trolls. It is what it is, we aren't going to win them all, we came out flat, battled back, and got a point. Clean up the crap, get Larrson in there, and get back in the win column on Tuesday.

Lucky to get a point, hell they were lucky to get the 3 wins so far with the way they have been playing. The play in our own end has been horrid.

This.

Referees always get their nasty paws on every game. I'd love to see a hockey game where they stayed out of it, but I guess I'm more likely to **** a Slovakian supermodel tonight.

I disagree. Cole grabbed Greene's arm and threw himself back. That's why his leg is in the air.

I loved this insightful gem from Chico tonight on Kovy's post in OT (wish that would've ended the game).

Chico Tweets ‏@ChicoTweets_
"It was either gonna hit Price, the post, go in or go wide!"

Chico is the best when he's being Captain Obvious.

I trust Patty as much as the next guy but I really think Zajac should've been out there to take the last faceoff. Trav was on fire tonight in that department, I would have to think he would have a better chance winning the draw than Patty.

Ya, I wonder if he took it because of the left handed thing. Faceoff was on the left side of the zone. I agree with you, Zajac should always be taking those unless he just came off a long shift.

The refs will call that 9 out of 10 times though. As soon as I saw it I knew it was going to result in a penalty. Still got a point out of the game :handclap:

Yeah that picture doesn't tell the whole story. It looked like dive in real time and the replay confimed it.

Nope. Go watch it again from that angle on the replay. He swept his leg - it makes no difference what the intent was regarding the puck. I watched it 3 times to be sure before posting. Believe me I have no love for Cole.

If you guys want to blame the refs fine, but I'm recanting my dive accusation on this one.
