I am no longer watching this series or supporting sponsors in a personal protest against the reffing since game two (seems like my suspicions were accurate as I see yet another 8 PPs for the Lightning), so, take this assessment with a grain of salt.

Keefe needs to have the 4th line consist of Clifford, Blackwell and Simmonds until the end of this series. They are the only line that shows a different look, creates energy and consistent forecheck. Keefe shuts Clifford out after one really bad play seconds into the series. It was an impulsive decision IMO.

Other than that, Leafs GM and owners have to question the leagues penalties. They make so many excessively light (largely one sided)calls after an entire 82 games of being LESS strict?

Where is the logic and fairness in this?

Dude gets spoonfed ice time because of his cap hit and does nothing at 5v5, ruins transition/rush chances because he's slower than the average skater you see at a rec skating event and even his good hands are gone and he bobbles the puck 3/4's amount of the time he receives a pass. I don't want to hear this garbage that he's a PPG centre and we could be worse off. Dude is getting paid 11 million and most of his points/good stretches all year are on the PP. After watching that, I would not be surprised to see the Avs win it all tbh. They're just as fast if not faster than the Leafs but Mackinnon is up there with Kucherov as a playoff performer, they are a heavier team and have a gamebreaker on the back end in Makar who is just insane at what he does. They likely have a cake walk to the finals due to the West being weaker and whoever comes out of the East will have had to go through any mix of Tampa/Toronto/Florida/Boston/Carolina which will wear you down more than what the West has to offer.
