Using the above table... there have been 43 Gold Medals handed out.. Russia and Canada have 30 of them. 30/43 is 70%. 7 out of 10 tourneys have been won by Russia/Canada. Can we stop calling those wins 'upsets'?

My big takeaway from the graph above is that the Finn's have more Golds than the US. That is impressive! Czechs are tied with Swedes.. this is misleading!

Slovakia should get a share of the Czechosolovakia total - not sure how I'd split it but it's so unfair to not include them as part of that former nation's history (sorry for the threadjack!).

Russia has the most medals in history at this tourney. 2nd most Gold Medals. They have, in fact, as many gold medals (13) as the US, Sweden, Czechs and Finns do COMBINED. It's not an upset when Russia wins a Junior tournament.lol

There are always points to discuss. Russia dominated until 2003. After that, in 16 WJCH, they won only one gold!
Ok, they had many silvers, bronze. But there is only one medal that counts by Russia and that is GOLD.

From 2003 to today.. how many medals did Russia win?
