Most painful win of the season. LA 8 EDM 2

Kopitar and Carter have been hovering around 50 - 55% all season last I checked.

I still can't believe the Kings scored 8 goals, lol.

He's already taught him how to put his glove on the puck off a face-off which resulted in a penalty.

Shore with the incredulity at the time; facial expression said it all: "THAT's a penalty?!? Uncle Jarret said it was a cool thing to do!"

I think if there's any accomplishment, aside from two Stanley Cups, for Stoll to be proud of it should be having a rule crafted for him.

"no Nick, they named that move after me because it was a penalty, not because it's cool."

Relatedly OF COURSE SToll would find a way to turn a good faceoff move into an offensive zone penalty.

Just watched the game and WOW! The Oilers must have felt like this after that game...

There were 3 goals against he should of had and 2 were particularly awful.

And a general FYI Bunz was called up because the back up atm had a family emergency.

Also the coaching is not currently the problem, have you seen the defense? That's a GM issue. The defensive structure of any team with an AHL defense would be suspect at best. No coach is going to make JSchultz a defensive stalwart because he just doesn't have it. He was poor in the AHL when he was lighting it up before he came the NHL. He's an offensive Dman who needs to be sheltered permanently, he's not a tough comp type. Klefbom needs developmental shelter and so does Marincin.

Petry may of not been great but he could play the tough guys good enough to let Klefbom and Schultz thrive on lessers. But again, our GM gave him away for peanuts instead of just signing him.

Petry was pretty terrible. He needed to be sheltered as much as Schultz. And if you want him that bad, resign him in the off-season. You got a 2nd+ out of it, be happy.

If Shore replaces Stoll, who replaces Shore?

I was thinking about this late last night after the game. The talent is incredible on that team. They have absolutely no leadership...where are the crafty vets that they need for mentoring and leadership?

That's why we gave that contract to Greene. My understanding is that he is incredible "in the room." We complain sometimes about the glue guys like Greene, Stoll, Brown, and even Regehr, but these guys are so important for leadership and mentoring that it clearly shows the difference between, say a team that has won two Cups and a team that most certainly should at least be sniffing the playoffs.

It would be an ideal place to send Richards to, for all parties.

Glad to see the fans aren't the only ones who notice Doughty can't hit the net:

Sutter:
Drew’s got to hit the net more. He misses the net on those close ones a lot.
If you hit the net, it’s a good chance it’s going to go in with the way he shoots it. It’s a good step for him. I think it’s weighed on him a lot – those numbers – the last couple months. He hasn’t scored a goal since, what, before the All-Star Game? [Reporter: 24 games]. So, like that. Or around the All-Star Game.

Don't even joke about that.
