Most average player in the NHL?

Talking right now. I think the opposite, most of the players listed are below average.

Right now, Brandon Saad is posting 0.60 PPG. That puts him at a 50 point pace this season. What is average about a 50 point, fast, 2-way winger with cup winning experience? I also saw an earlier post naming RNH as an average player. He is on pace for 69 points this season...

Pick any Sutter that ever played. ;)
? Brian Sutter was a tremendous player and on-ice leader. His jersey is in the rafters. He is 3d all time in games played, 3d in goals, 4th in assists, 3d in points, 1st in penalty minutes for the St. Louis Blues. He is one of the best hockey players I have ever seen in a Blue Note.

I can only assume the wink means you know it's a joke.

Brent Sutter was very very good, and Daryl Sutter was also better than average even if he was a dirty Hawk.

I'll give you Ron, Rich, Duane and Brandon.

Hey I just realized it’s Drew Stafford.

13th overall pick, which is probably around the mean for all players. Born in Wisconsin, which is like Canada’s udders (y’know, for Wisconsin cheese). Pretty average spot for an NHLer. 2nd liner who followed the fall-off trajectory perfectly, outta the league at 33, played over 800 games but you don’t really remember him.

Probably a bit above average tbh, but he matches in many ways. Even the name, a real John Smith, him. His face is the default in any video game’s “create-a-character” as well.

This is an important think, and so bump I did.

TOR has a few of these guys...

Calle Jankrok when he's healthy? Scott Laughton when he's on his game? Maybe Max Domi in one of his better seasons?

I like to think Bobby McMann is/will be above average. Maybe I'm too optimistic.
