Why would a key player like Greig want to fight a 5 minute player like Reaves.

Greig is here to clap bombs into the nets.

He probably won’t have a choice lol, I’m sure he’ll just turtle anyways. Besides Tkachuk none of the Sens got a set of balls on them haha.

But I’m all seriousness I do hope the sens find a way to get good. I enjoy the rivalry and it’s better if the sens are actually good

Oh so he wasn't interviewed after the game?

You know what I said about goalposts?

True.

Immediately after the game. The Senators veteran didn't defend his own teammates play. He had nothing negative to say about Rielly though.

Watching the game at a bar with some friends. My Nucks fan friend even said when you take a slapper like that you deserve everything that comes next.

Guess he won't be doing that again.
I'd get some odds from Pinto and put $50 against it that he will 1000% do it again if he is in the same situation vs the Leafs. If you think Greig won't do it again you don't know the player lol

Grieg did that to get a reaction from the Leafs. And it definitely worked.

Gutless play by Reilly which will get quite a few games I would think

By 'all the former players' he is probably referring to himself and other AHL elevator goons.
Their combined brain capacity is probably as capable as Rielly willfully taking the game suspension with 5 seconds left to play is a 'heroic hockey act'.

I'm just hoping the Leafs continue to show 'grit' (-Bieksa) and enforce manners this way so any opposing team knows how to make them lose their most valuable players. Truly a very smart team and fanbase.

I mean his own teammate Giroux seemed embarrassed by Greig in the interview and none of his teammates came to defend him but yeah only AHL goons could possibly disagree with the play, sure.

I'll take that bet.

It's hard responding to someone who keeps moving goalposts, I'm not sure when you're lying or when you're speaking the truth

Imagine having to explain to a newcomer that the type of shot you use when you score a goal might hurt some feelings.

And this is supposed to be hockey.

Talk about extremely thin skin, and extremely confusing message to new fans.
To be fair, no one ever really does that. It was clearly a 'f*** you' move, which is fine, but acting like that's a common move is a bit disingenuous.

Yes, 40 years and counting. 10 of which in junior and semi, first off it wasn't to the head, watch the replay, second Greig had no reason to showboat, you're a last place joke team and you're a rookie, he learned a valuable lesson today.

In those 40 years, ever crosscheck anyone in the head? It was to the jaw, watch the replay. Sure it was needless, the response was over the top. All Greig learned is that it’s easy to get under the leafs skin, he loves being a pest. I don’t think Reilly is going to stop him.
