For me the biggest step I've seen in him this year is how easily hes been separating man form puck. Just a joy to watch him do that then jump into the play!

For me he looks much more calm and quiet. No panic. Not missing coverages where you see him late to the play on the wrong end of highlights.

Picking his spots better. None of those pointless rushes to the outside that result in a perimeter shot or where he circles the back of the net.

No doubt #1 dman.

It was weird defending him in his down year in 2016-17 but glad to see he's showing his full potential.

Agreed that thus far he seems to just read the game much better. I guess things have slowed down for him.

He was a legit #1 last season and he looks like he’s improved his overall strength and shot for this season. If he keeps it up he will be in Norris contention. It’s been a while since we could say that and be serious. Feels good man

Morgan's defensive play has really improved. The guy is a bull and is so strong and such a good skater that it allows him to really create space out there once he gets his legs moving. I've always been a big fan of his. He'll probably never have an elite shot but he's definitely worked on it over the years. Made a prediction that he would hit 60 this year but if he keeps this up hell blow right threw that! He's become the legit number one dman that we've needed for a long time now.

Great player at both ends of the ice and he's only 24, best years still to come... hopefully he'll have a few cup rings and Norris trophies to his name one day.

Also think he deserves the C on his sweater.
