Someday I hope we can improve and be as good as the Washington generals. We've become the Washington Wizards of the NHL. The farm team for the rest of the league.

He doesn't have to weasel out of anything because he doesn't have real opinions on anything. Gets off on taking the opposite side of what people on here think and writing a lot of words about it. Really should just stop acknowledging him.Your exact words when we found out the return were "Briere isn't that stupid, I think."
What changed? Unless you took a break to eat some lead paint chips, I don't see how you can weasel out of thinking Briere is stupid.
They weren't singled out b/c they were in Tort's doghouse.
Frost was 3rd in 5x5 minutes the last 10 games. Farabee was 5th.
They were singled out b/c Briere didn't like their style of play.
The fact they got a smaller player back tells you size doesn't matter.
Or the Washington Generals!Someday I hope we can improve and be as good as the Washington generals.
Can’t believe I can’t find a gif of someone saying yes but shaking their head no.They have a direction?
At this point I fully expect briere to try to trade down in the draft by trading out (hypothetical) 15 and a 7th for someone’s 18 and think he won.

All they did in this trade was clear cap space sooner. That's it. The timeline was moved UP by this trade to anyone that's actually paying attention.I think this was mostly about Briere finishing his evaluation of the team.
He's decided who are the core players, and the rest are on the market.
And it also suggests they know the rebuild is going to take 3 or more years, so anyone not penciled in for 2027-28 is available.
Trading Frost and Farabee now is raising the white flag for this season, pretty close to ensuring they pick in the top ten and have two picks in the 30s. 5 picks in the top 40 is a pretty good start for the rebuild.
There was no need to pull the trigger now. It’s not even the deadline. They could have waited until spring!I think this was mostly about Briere finishing his evaluation of the team.

Flyers needed Calgary’s 1st in this years draft for this trade to even be a win win for both teams!
The direction of this team is so f***ed up…
Does it mean that the lead chips are talking? At least now I know what it means everytime he says "I think" when discussing what he thinks is going on in the locker room etc.
Truly. He posts like he wants to be taken seriously but just says whatever he can in any given moment to defend this team. He's admitted himself in the past that he changes whatever he thinks to align with what the Flyers do/say/think.He doesn't have to weasel out of anything because he doesn't have real opinions on anything. Gets off on taking the opposite side of what people on here think and writing a lot of words about it. Really should just stop acknowledging him.
And he can never make those comment be forgotten. It was funny as shit to see play outReading the thread from start to finish, my favorite parts were DH saying the speculated return was bad so there obviously is a bunch of high picks or prospects coming.
Then when that DID NOT materialize have to go into full defense mode and ignore the takes he made minutes to an hour earlier and now have to try to find ways to spin the BAD RETURN into a positive like "Well, it's going to be about freeing up money."
Ok... but that money was freed up when you said the trade return WAS BAD. That doesn't change that assessment.
If we stop acknowledging dead then we would all be sitting here saying “yup” to one another. He doesn't have to weasel out of anything because he doesn't have real opinions on anything. Here's how 3rd party sees it:
Frost is a talented, slick playmaker, but there’s a reason Philadelphia, which is desperately starved for top-six centers, is happily moving on from him. The 25-year-old was pretty sheltered, matchups-wise, during his time with the Flyers. He doesn’t play a heavy, competitive game and is an inconsistent player. Frost is still a worthwhile bet for the Flames because there’s very little risk, and they could use another top-nine center. However, I’d expect Farabee to be the more impactful player in the long term.
NHL trade grades: Flames bet on upside, Flyers hope for short-term Andrei Kuzmenko spark
The Flames made a cheap upgrade in their pursuit of a playoff spot, but will Kuzmenko contribute for Philadelphia?www.nytimes.com
Let's hope not, but Danny isn't smart so who knows, they just need to flip him at the deadline and hold onto the cap spaceThis means they plan to resign him, right?
$5M isn't going to make much of a difference. What will it buy you on the FA market? All they did in this trade was clear cap space sooner. That's it. The timeline was moved UP by this trade to anyone that's actually paying attention.
Make the playoffs next year and SC contenders for the following year. That's the plan. That's the timeline that now THREE media members have talked about. Myrtetus brought it up today.

Ersson and Fedotov sure look like a playoff team's goalies. All they did in this trade was clear cap space sooner. That's it. The timeline was moved UP by this trade to anyone that's actually paying attention.
