Confirmed with Link: Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee traded to Calgary for Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, 2025 2nd, 2028 7th

seems people think this is a precursor move..even if they want EP or Miller...they kinda are lacking in goodish players to move

3 years left at $5M probably deep sixed his trade value, but there was no reason to bum rush him out the door, because unless they think Barkey is going to step right into the NHL, who were they planning to replace him with in 2025-26?

Now Abols could probably be decent at LW (big, smart, average speed, more physical and probably can be as bad on offense) and Lycksell deserves a shot, but still. Pelletier is unproven.

I don't mind trading Frost, but if Farabee balances out Kuchmenko (both teams dumping players), Frost for Pelletier and a 2nd is both meh and doesn't fit the Flyers' needs. Should have gone after 1st rd picks/prospects like Honrek or Henry B.
Don't worry.

We also got a 7th in 3.5 years.

It’s crazy how apathetic I am. I watched Frost and Farabee as draft eligibles and enjoyed their games immensely. Rooted for them all the way, through all the shit they’ve endured. I should be livid it came to this.

But I just shrug at the Flyers getting absolutely annihilated trading them to appease a control freak dinosaur coach, as part of a nonsensical rebuild plan that makes them worse now and later. I shitpost, but I honestly feel no anger. It’s funny really. I’m smiling. And we’re only like 10 minutes into a 1 hour standup set.

It's terrifying to ponder what they think they're going to do with that cap space
Its not EP or Miller.

Its resigning
Cates
York
Brink
TK raise
keep
Risto
Scottie

Oh you will get the narrative the flyers just need a goalie and sign Vanacek or Hill or Lingren or whomever to make the push for 79 point season. But that is it.

I feel like i jinxed us earlier when i mentioned that somethings gotta give, and that Farabee and Frost didn't have as much value as people may think.
