I know he's on a bad team, but that +/- stat board may be one of the worst to begin a career that I've ever seen.
What This Means for You:
Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.
In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord ServerHard to say, the lack of support and physical immaturity along with less than elite skating are all factors.Perhaps he takes off in his 3rd season. Overall disappointing year for him.
You started with saying I’m obsessed with you, that is very weird man. I’m done talking to you. Too weird. If you disagree with my posts, you can either ignore them, or state your disagreement. That's how normal, well adjusted adults converse.
Instead, you decided to discuss me instead of the topic.
Gotta say I thought bedard would be approaching superstar status by now. He was right there with crosby as a prospect. Watching Crosby at 19 n bedard the difference is gargantuan.
I think his body is letting him down in comparison. Doesnt seem to be maturing as fast. Crosby came in strong and besides a couple pounds has not changed much since he was 19. He was NHL ready at 18A friend of mine who played hockey in the OHL said while he believed Bedard was on the level of McDavid against OHL competition it was obvious to him he wouldn’t approach McDavid or Crosby in the NHL and those who thought he would were going to be disappointed. It’s funny to see how he and others are correct so far and all the hate they get for it. I am also not ruling Bedard out from becoming a superstar, but let’s face it.. he’s not going to be challenging for a top 10 player of all-time or anything. He’ll be lucky if he turns into a Patrick Kane level player, and I sincerely don’t even believe he will (but would love if I was wrong, just like I was about him scoring 40-50 goals and 80-90 points in his rookie season).

He's just not the same level of athlete unfortunately. And he's already extremely fit and filled out for his height. He's like 5'9.5 185.I think his body is letting him down in comparison. It is unfortunate. A couple " in height would amplify his game for sure. He will no doubt fashion himself a great career. But more in the mold of a tavares. He's just not the same level of athlete unfortunately. And he's already extremely fit and filled out for his height. He's like 5'9.5 185.
I think the best scenario right now is like a stamkos? Great shooting centers. Some forget how good Stammer was and especially before his leg injury. I think kucherov is too much of a passer/IQ wizard in comparison. He really never had and never will have the physical gifts of a McDavid, Crosby or MacKinnon. Could he become like Kucherov? Remains to be seen. Building a great team around him may be a necessity though.

I've always liked the comparison of a Kane / Kucherov hybrid. If they can find him an elite play driver who can open things up, I think we'll see Bedard start challenging 100 points. Kid has struggled to get open looks this year, but is still hands down one of the most dangerous players in the game when he's able to get time and space.Bedard has great playmaking, IQ and vision, and of course the deadly shot. He could end up a better goal scorer than Kucherov and a much better playmaker than Stamkos, but I doubt he approaches Kucherov as an overall offensive force really. Kucherov has surpassed Kane and honestly looks like he’s toying with MacKinnon at the end of the season again to steal his 3rd Art Ross. Yeah, may be he ends up as good as Stamkos before the leg injury but with a more balanced goals/assists ratio.
Gotta agree. I was expecting a decent jump from his D+1 to D+2 just like Crosby and McDavid made. Not an Art Ross or anything, but at least flirting with 100 points. Wonder how much of it is mental with Chicago being so terrible and his physical/size strugglesGotta say I thought bedard would be approaching superstar status by now. I don't think Bedard ever will, unless it's a in weak transition period. Kane beat some all-time greats at their peak. Very lofty expectations for Bedard if you think he will based on what's shown so far not impossible but would bet against it.The Patrick Kane comparisons seem pretty spot on at this point. Kane was always a star, but he didn't start competing for and winning the scoring title until his mid to late 20's.

You just can't stop talking about me lol. Anything to avoid actually discussing the topic of the thread. I go into threads to discuss the topic, you go into them to discuss me. All because you're salty about me refusing to say Bedard had generational potential (and now you're probably even saltier after realizing I was right). He said the same thing about me as well. Meanwhile the guy necrobumps his own dead thread while there are two other live Bedard threads that he's actively commenting in, all while Bedard isn't on his team and the Blackhawks and Devils aren't rivals. If that's not obsession I don't know what is.
Also, thanks for letting all of us know about the No True Scottsman fallacy whenever that was, good to know there are names / classifications for different types of bad faith arguments. My guess is Whiskey still has no idea, wouldn't be surprised to see him pretending Gretzky isn't "truly" generational again at some point given his current line of attack on Bedard a couple posts up
Yeah, I don't like holding +/- against teenage players on garbage teams. Especially when they're asked to carry such a significant load offensively.Gilbert Perreault was -38 and -41 in his first two seasons. Sakic was -36 and -40 in his first two seasons. Celebrini is -27 this year (59 GP).
Crosby isn't much taller. He's like my height. It is unfortunate. A couple " in height would amplify his game for sure. He will no doubt fashion himself a great career. But more in the mold of a tavares.

He's trying to find his fit. There have been many players who dominated teenagers who missed a step.Thought the same. To me, Bedard looked like an instant 80+ point player on day 1.
Most surprising is his shot hasn’t translated to a ton of goals.
He still has time to crank up the dial. But didn’t look like he needed runway.

And "Necro bump"? Lol. This poll has been getting regular updates to track the progress of the two players in the poll. And you accuse me of bad faith arguments?
