Even though he doesn't have big totals yet this year, the roster looks like it misses Arvidsson, they haven't generated much 5 on 5 with him out.

Since when is Montemblaut a "plug goalie" jebus the stupid comments. He's a franchise goalie in the making. Spectacular whenever I see him. Give his whole team hope in playing in a defensive structure and just trying to bag a goal.

Would trade several players on this club for Montemblaut. Would drive them to the airport. Please f*** off Connor brown.
I remember last season when I proclaimed Montembault would be the wrong goalie to waste a first on. Eating crow right now. Seems like Montreal knew what they had.

Don't see McDavid get that mad, but he was pissed at Hyman for whiffing on that gimme one timer to start lol

Hey McDavid, maybe shoot more yourself? It's like he got amnesia and doesn't remember scoring 60
That was the best Oiler highlight of the night. What a beautiful play by Mc-D but Hyman completely whiffed on it. Otherwise it might have been a very different game.

Embarrassing effort.

Not seeing coaching adapt a listless PP and in game lethargy with nothing happening. Reverted to The Stack Line which promptly gave up the dagger 2-0 goal. The Stack Five PP guy were a cumulative -11 on the night and then add Ekholm's -3, this team's elite were -14. That includes an empty netter but this game was lost by its elite players and critically with a stone cold PP in which they are overused hot or cold.

Coaching has been overhyped here forever. Tonight's game with nothing going team lethargy could have used some button pushing to attempt to find a spark... any spark. It's a team built on finesse, soft skill so can't look for momentum changers with a heavy hit .. and I guess their rare willing combatant the ancient Corey Perry isn't going to fight every game this team falls asleep.

Pretty disgusted with the effort tonight. Didn't see anything from the coaching staff to lurch emotion or energy from this lifeless, passive group

McLeod, Holloway and Foegele would all be the Oilers 3rd leading goal scorers.
People keep backing Bowman and making excuses on his behalf. Like how blind can you be to not see this turd not matching one or both was a recipe for disaster. They Lost Foegle and McLeod, before the offer sheets, Especially when he started trading Ceci and Desharnais away for no fn reason but to bring in Emberson and Dermott.... 😆

0 or 2 on Amazon Prime. Correct me if Im wrong, but didn't we face New Jersey and lost 3-0 as well? Lol you can't make this sht up. Zero goals in 120 minutes of ice time broadcasted by Amazon. If we get shut out again next Amazon game, I think we all need to get together, in a chanting cult like circle to alleviate the curse

Poor Calvin, the team keeps letting him down
That's just the Oilaz way though. They love getting embarrassed on National TV/Stream

Holland was much better than Jackson
Bowman is TBD

Holland wasn’t great, and people whined about his cap management, but JJ blew it all on day 1 of free agency. I don’t care much about the guys that went out but maybe keeping 1 or 2 for some more roster cohesion would have made sense

Still haven’t bothered watching a game yet but still like reading up on the forum to catch some perspective.

They have had McLellan, Tippett, Woodcroft and now Knoblauch all preach accountability and not one player is above the other on the roster.

Then it’s the same old shit.

So either the inmates are running the asylum or there is some higher-up meddling telling the head coaches the stars are immune to benchings and being scratched.

Knoblauch can stop licking door knobs and start coaching any day now

A team with this much supposed firepower shouldn’t be getting shut out. Or this bad offensively.
We can now see. They have no chemistry and the fire power *is not used correctly* at all. They just love diking around the perimeter all game lol. They have a bad philosophy of how to play

Hindsight yada yada.

Most of this board was on board with his moves. Sometimes the road to hell really is paved with good intentions.

Islands in the stream.
Caggiula/Philp/Savoie would all be fresh faces that likely add energy/hunger to this lineup... instead they roll with 9 largely lifeless slow/aging/regressing players to play with McDrai and they can't make a single change to that group as they only have 11 forwards. Pressbox isn't even an option,

This team is stuck in the proverbial rut with no way to get out.

Now they get to play Josh f***ing Brown in the lineup to add to the misery... and wait for it... Stuart Skinner likely plays next game.

The future seems dark.
Its especially frustrating seeing a team with heart, some grit, and pace putting these predenders to sleep. Euthanasia. We thought the start of the season was bad. This might be where shit really starts.

This f***ing team has 5 regulation wins in 20 games. ffs. Without OT results we'd be in a world of hurt. Doesn't seem like a recipe for success though.
