I'll never understand back passing while attempting to gain zone entry. So ridiculous.

On a powerplay, the goal is to bait a forward to pressure on one side (while the other three defending players are waiting flat on the blue line) and then move the puck backwards to another player who moves it on the other side where there's no pressure and more space.
