Meh.. Whatever..

Now 3 losses in a row and heading out on a 7 game road trip. Ths Habs are currently last in the Atlantic and will likely stay there for the rest of the season.
The games against Ottawa and Anaheim were winnable.... But they allowed 2 and 3 goals to them before scoring one. Catch up hosckey is a recipe for catastrophy.

He seems depressed having to accept to lose. This is not typical of Marty. He has been a winner his entire career.
It's sad for him. But he the right coach for young players who developp.
He just starting to find out that he could had need more coaching experience at higher level than Pee-Wee before jumping to the NHL.... Ask Mario Tremblay !

BUT.... he has the excuse to have to coach bad vets like Drouin, Hoffman, Armia, Anderson, Dadonov, Dvorak.......

If our pick is top 5 and Florida's is between 10-15 with our pick we can get a top line forward and Florida's could get us a good right handed Dman (Reinbacher/Dragicevic/Gulyayev) then hopefully grab a late first and target some goalie prospects throughout the draft. We'd have most of the pieces we need for a rebuild.

With

3 RHD prospects with solid top 4 potential. Ie room for one to bust. (Maiiloux/Barron/New Guy)

4 LHD with top 4 potential room for two to bust. (Guhle/AX/Harris/Hutson)

5 top 6 forwards (Suzuki/CC/Salf/Dach/new pick). Hopefully grab Dubois to round it out.

Then target goalies like madmen and hope at worst you end up with two solid tandem goalies.

It's too easy to say. There is nothing to be done with this team. This is a team who collapsed one year ago. Even the very best coach of the world couldn't change the results.

I like your optimism. It could happen, let's hope it happens.

At least Arber won his fight. :sarcasm:
The expression on Marty's face after the fight was priceless it looked like he was thinking yep there goes the game , not criticizing the fight but wtf do we seem to lose every f#$&ing game after Arbor fights, it's like it sucks the life out of our team. Anyways another predictable game ,turned it off after Allen Let in two goals on four shots.🥱

That Dostal guy from Anaheim, who had good saves, stole a game from Edmonton.
Vasilevsky was great today.
Sometimes the puck doesn't go in.

Tampa simply owns the Habs, and have for a long time. I don’t think anyone was expecting anything but a beating in this game.

And as far as the MSL bashing is going - do you guys not remember how awful this team was under Dumb Dom? He’s got FOUR rookies on defense playing regularly. FOUR. And other than the top line, there’s been no help.

Look at our lineup production up front:

These players have this many goals respectively:

Gallagher (3) in 22 GP - 6.5 million
Dadonov (2) in 26 GP - 5.0 million
Pezzetta (1) in 17 GP - 0.9 million
Pitlick (1) in 14 GP - 1.1 million
Evans (0) in 31 GP - 1.7 million
Drouin (0) in 15 GP - 5.5 million
Armia (0) in 20 GP - 3.4 million

That is a total of 7 goals. Between 7 players. In 145 man/games. At a cost of 24.1 million in cap.

That’s not MSL’s fault.
