Time to bench Bourque for a couple of shifts. He's been pathetic and very slow to the puck tonight. Shades of 11-12.
He can't finish but he's helping Plekanec nicely, he's not even close to the worst player on that line. I'm sure WhiskeySeven would be happy to tell you who is.

Hey Pyretta, Dorner's remains were identified through dental records -- just an update in case you didn't hear. :)

Watch the game PLEASE

I'm already watching it. Bourque is second on every puck and visibly cheating out there. Nothing like what we've seen from him in the first few games. Loses tons of one on one battles and very slow on the forecheck.

At least, people missing the game because of Valentines Day aren't missing a great one. What a **** game.

You didn't notice that misfiring midget who's been a black-hole-of-production all season? I realize he's short but Christ man, Bourque can't do anything after Gionta gives it away time after time on the blue line.

He's been our best forward tonight. What game are you watching?

Eller, Cole and Desharnais all have been way, way better. The others have been MIA. But Bourque is visibly giving much less effort than he usually does tonight. I can recall of at least 4 or 5 puck battles he lost very, very easily, without second efforts.

I'm also watching a different game than you...

Heard all about how strong Pacioretty is and how much work he has done but none of it has translated, he looks brutal out there. I don't know how a player can fall right off and look like he doesn't belong.

Like I said, Gionta is useless on the forecheck. This has been shadowed by Bourque's fantastic work early on this year. But tonight, Bourque is just not as effective as he usually is on the forecheck. And we see what happens when it's the case...

I wish Therrien would give more shifts to the young guns and Prust. This line should get more ice time. I don't like how few missions they get out there.
