It definitely was a not a bad goal, it was a very good shot. Just think expectations for Price are very high because of pedigree and salary. If you want to be considered among the elite, you gotta find a way of stopping that, even though its incredibly hard. Those are the difference makers come playoff time.

Notice this doesn't fit in the "blaming price" storyline.

Everybody relax. 1-0 with 20mins to go. We had a much better 2nd period than usual and despite being down, we're still in it. Price has played great, we just need to avoid all the sticks in the lane and start moving the puck better. Pitts are trying to turn this into a sloppy, ugly game.

A great shot is a great shot. It's not always a bad goal.

Every direct shot (non-tipped) that goes in is a weak goal for those "fans".

If only those fans know more about hockey...

I suggest you to put him in your ignore list, the board gets instantly smarter after you did that. True story.

Price hasn't been mediocre, but he's let in really bad goals all year long.

Tonight's goal was a REALLY GOOD GOAL. Not a bad goal.

Does any know why josh gorges is making $3.9 mil for the next 5 years with those awful hands and unorthodox lateral skating? I swear hes listed as 6'1 but looks 5'10 next to my boy subban whos 6'. Also david desharnais hasnt done anything since his $3.5 mil for the next 4 years. Davy is using a short stick which is at a disadvantage while colby Armstrong is using a stick twice his height.

24-12 the shots in the Habs favor. Fleury outplaying Price. Who would have tought that our weak link this year would be our goalie... Quite amazing..

I think low shot totals sometimes make a goalie look worse than he is. There are always teams who outshoot others but they don't usually get shutouts. We used to always be outshot.

Don't always follow the shot count it could be very deceiving. Price has made 4 or 5 great saves that would have easily went in if he wasn't sharp. I agree Fleury is outplaying Price, but don't make it seem like Price isn't being tested and isn't playing good.

You are pathetic. Just stop it.

It was a beautiful goal, get over it.

From a lot of posters around here all the goal Price allows are beautiful.

The reality is there pittsburgh scored on their 3rd scoring chances ( and i'm generous) while the habs had 10.

If they lose this game tonight it's all on Price... Sorry to indispose a lot of you but that's what I think.

And I'm angry right now because they are playing perfect hockey and they're still losing.

I should stop being angry at him for that he ALWAYS does it. That is my bad.

People are still arguing about Crosby's goal?

It's not very complicated, Crosby is the best player on the planet and he was alone vs. Price. It was a goal before Crosby had crossed the blue line.

Forget it.

That's where an elite goalie is supposed to make a game saving save. Doesn't happen 100% of time, but Price hasn't done that all year long. Except Carolina and New Jersey. Excellent goaltending HAS NOT been the reason the Habs are this good this year.

They really should take Armstrong out of the Chucky-Eller line, he provides nothing.

It's true. Frustrating things like not getting pucks in deep (on of those in the first period) despite having space and seeing two guys already committed to the chase, delaying until his shooting opportunities/windows close, etc. He has his moments, but I see his spot as an obvious chance for improvement.

Pens doesn't deserve one bit to be leading, they played like garbage but still got a goal.

24-12 shots and must be 15-3 in the scoring chances we are outplaying them just like the sabres but cannot score a goal.

DD has been god awful in the last few games in fact since he signed his contract.

Paciorretty is bad too only Gallagher busting his ass there.

Ryder has been unlucky and Plekanec is playing great tonight.

Price should have stopped the Crosby shot he had limited angle and Fleury has been making saves like that all night long.
If you want to be considered elite you must stop those shots specially when your team is outplaying the other.

Shots aren't a good indicator, I'd say the teams are even as far as "good scoring chances" are concerned.

I thought it was a bad goal, but the replay showed that it really was a perfect shot.

I blame Bouillon for that goal though. Both Dupuis and Crosby were behind him. If he was in position, Tinordi doesn't need to follow Dupuis, and can stay in his lane to block off Crosby.

That's one thing I've noticed a lot with Bouillon - he's out of position way too often.

I'm sorry but anyone who think this goal was Price's fault is a frickin nerd and have no idea how a hockey game is being played.

The problem with Price is that he is being paid as one of the best goalie in the league while he is not at the time we speak (and was only at that level once in his career IMO).

Not bashing him and I'm not a hater. I expect a lot more than that from him and I'm not talking about the current game.

People need to stop the overreaction as soon as someone say something negative about Carey. If anything, we want more from him because we know that he has what it takes.
