I don't understand all this "trade price" talk. You guys realize it was Crosby vs price, one on one. Seriously? Omg price let in one goal?!? TRADE HIM!

Relax people! Geez....

The problem with Price is that he is being paid as one of the best goalie in the league while he is not at the time we speak (and was only at that level once in his career IMO).

Not bashing him and I'm not a hater. I expect a lot more than that from him and I'm not talking about the current game.

People need to stop the overreaction as soon as someone say something negative about Carey. If anything, we want more from him because we know that he has what it takes.

Ah please the only reason we are down by a goal in this game is that the Pens have gotten the luckiest bounces ever.

you get the best player in the world a straight shot in the slot against any goalie and it will be a goal 6 times out of 10.

Actually, even I'd say he has been "above average" "on average". Just not as much "great" as those who love to stick to rigid linear upward career extrapolations may have expected. Until there are more lost points in the standings to find explanations for, though, I don't think we can distill Price down as low as "mediocre" this year. And I think everyone knows who this is coming from.
He's had two games where he's given up a touchdown. Other than that he's been stopping pucks at a .925 clip.

What I don't get is why MT left him in the net for that 6-0 loss to the Leafs.

You might want to point the actual bashers here, instead of singling out a post I wrote 3 minutes before the goal was even scored. That would be a start to stop the stupidity.

That wasn't in response to you and you weren't quoted on it. I'm talking about the turds that are saying it's an easy shot to stop and it's typical Price and if we lose it's all his fault.

Typical post from this guy. All he ever does is bash Price, check his post history. One of the most negative posters I have ever read and just annoying as can be.

Yep, but we gotta deal with those. Crosby scores 1 on 1 and they blame Price. Is it that hard giving credit to the best hockey player in the world? Seriously, all Price haters should grow up lol. This thing is getting old.

The goal wasn't that bad, but I don't think it was an unstoppable, perfect shot either. Even the Penguins announcers were saying that Price's angle wasn't good on that shot.

It's most certainly not fair to blame every goal or loss on Price, but the people who criticize anyone who dares suggest he could be better are even worse. He hasn't been bad by and means this year, but he's been far from great too. The team has outplayed almost every opponent over the past month but that hasn't been the case in goal. Carey needs to elevate his play and I don't think that's a ridiculous thing to say.

I know stats don't tell the whole story, but he's barely in the Top-40 in SV%. We need him to be A LOT better than that.

The home and road stats are absolutely mind boggling. I don't understand how they can be so different.

The people who are bashing Price for giving up a good goal to the best player in the world are the same people who would be praising the shot if it was Pacioretty getting that identical goal on Fleury. :shakehead

I thought it was a bad goal, but the replay showed that it really was a perfect shot.

I blame Bouillon for that goal though. Both Dupuis and Crosby were behind him. If he was in position, Tinordi doesn't need to follow Dupuis, and can stay in his lane to block off Crosby.

That's one thing I've noticed a lot with Bouillon - he's out of position way too often.

You're right, and those who truly watch tend to notice the same thing.

24-12 the shots in the Habs favor. Fleury outplaying Price. Who would have tought that our weak link this year would be our goalie... Quite amazing..

You've been teasing around the edge of my ignore list for a while, but that's the ace in the hole. See you in another life brotha

I was more surprised when the leafs missed the extra point than MT leaving Price in the net tbh.

Because he knows Price won't be rattled and that Budaj would have done no better since the team in front of Price was playing like crap.

Free Pacioretty from Desharnais please god!!! Our best forward in years is being used to make Desharnais look good. At least double shift him in Armstrong's spot. Wake the **** up Michel!!

it definitely was a not a bad goal, it was a very good shot. Just think expectations for price are very high because of pedigree and salary. If you want to be considered among the elite, you gotta find a way of stopping that, even though its incredibly hard. Those are the difference makers come playoff time.

Notice this doesn't fit in the "blaming price" storyline.

this sums it up perfectly!

A bad goal is a bad goal end of the story. And even if it's not a bad goal... A great save from time to time would be appreciated. Especialky when your team is playing heart out in front of you.

Stupidity post.

Just let these people be.

Our offence has dried up in the past couple of weeks. Our lack of elite forwards is starting to show.
No, our injuries are starting to show. Eller is playing alone, and we have no depth. Teams focus on the top-2 lines now instead of worrying about Eller's line.. and they've completely shut them down.

Bourque or Prust need to get healthy fast.
