Pittsburgh Friday.. but yeah, then another long break. :(

Edit: Nvm. We play Pittsburgh Saturday

Heh, I guess for some reason that one didn't sync onto my phone (don't ask me why or how the entire Habs schedule got synced into my phone calendar because I have no idea).

Yup, makes Carr a giant among them. Is there a smaller RW group in the NHL?

Gallagher / Carr / Andrighetto / Byron

Carr plays LW, its Eller that now plays RW on that line.

Its a complete **** show this team in regards to size.

Centre ice is even worse

5'11/6'1/5'7/5'11

Your not winning the cup with centres that size that is for sure.. smh

Worse is all have been kept by design, Plek contact could have been up and replaced with a centre with size like possible Backes or Staal, who likely would come around the same price tag, DD was re-signed by MB, and so was Mitchell

Only hope is McCarron and DRL moving forward but even them there is questions marks on position in the NHL

This notion that only small guys have speed is the worse, one of the fastest skaters are the team is 6'2 Patches and Eller at 6'2 is fast. Cole who played here at the age of 34 at 6'2 220 was one of the fasted in the league.

Bergevin talks about having a balance and size down the middle being key (said it during his first draft) but he assembled this lineup.

Bergevin hasn't done **** besides the Petry trade.

I would much rather have a 4th line of DLR-Mitchell-DSP than Byron-Mitchell-Flynn come playoff time

I'll take Plekanec any day. He's a great, GREAT, 2nd line C.
Galchenyuk is playing good, and is progressing toward, hopefully, 1st line duties. Next year he and Pleky should be switching lines.
I would replace DD, not with Eller, on 3rd C if i could, not because i have an unnatural hate on for him like the majority of posters or because he's playing lousy which he is not, but because added size in the middle would be nice.
and there is nothing wrong with Mitchell.

Trading Beau for a forward is insanity.
Lets fill a hole up front by making a huge one on the D.
DUMB

Dmen protected; Subban, Petry, Beaulieu, Markov (only because he is retiring in a year or 2 max)

Yes it would be nice to get a big name player, but besides the fact we have little available to trade with, and the cost involved to re-sign one would be huge, I don't see that as a necessity.
I think we'd be perfectly fine with just upgrading Galchenyuks wingers.
Get a good RW and upgrade over Eller on the LW.

You're right. Petry is the only impact player he's added to the current Habs roster since he's been the Habs GM. Aside from Galchenyuk who was a 3rd overall that fell into his lap when he started as the GM MB has pretty much inherited the current Habs core from Gainey/Gauthier.

The fact remains that Beaulieu has ascended to first pairing earlier than anticipated, with some believing that he is being showcased.

I really question if most people on here pay any attention to Flynn's game, he's been a great acquisition.

I'm happy he isn't getting pasted as often as he was early on.
He looked like he wouldn't last 20 games at one point.

DSP is in tonight and playing with DD and Flash.

I guess MT is TRYING to replicate some of what Weise brings to that line. Physical presence that will create space for his two linemates. I hope DSP takes this chance that is given to him and makes the most of it.

Small guys tend to be quicker and shiftier though. Still think we need size though but I think size plays a bigger factor on the wing.

This guy has to stop using the AC studio as his sole source for material. :naughty:

Rumor mongering is a dirty business. There could be extra contamination where AC is involved.

Yeah I like flynn a lot. Sure he's not flashy but I recall watching a few games where I was so impressed with him and he was the best player on the ice to me. The last sens game he was brilliant.

We might get plenty from a Kassian trade...

Seriously, trading Brolieu would be stupid. We have to keep him because of Markov's age. He makes very little so he's not replaceable. I don't see it.

I guess for something ridiculous like Stamkos and Drouin, as part of a package going to TB I'd bite but I'm aware that it won't happen.
