If they keep Weber low on the side on the umbrella PP he will score for sure. Maybe it's m'y memory tricking me but here Subban and Markov played at the blue line on the PP, no?
yeah, i think it can work.

ppl ****** about how our PP never changes, we'll at least that's something we never tried all last year.

Only D's we have with transition ability are Beaulieu and Petry. The other 4 are not real quick.

The Habs are slow cause Therrien wants them to be with that garbage style. Look at the speed they had against the Leafs compared to tonight.

But it's not a style Therrien believes in.

Not to mention Markov really shouldn't be on the top pairing anymore.

Beaulieu - Weber
Markov - Petry

is what I'd like to see tried.

Markov isn't even a top-4 defenseman anymore, imo. 3rd pairing and 2nd PP unit is his home at this point. It's a shame because I look back at his prime years and how they were derailed by two straight knee injuries and now he can't do anything because he's way too slow.

The comparison I'll make is when Nashville had Weber as an elite number 1 D, they allowed Josi to surpass him passed on play. That's good coaching. We had Markov as an elite number 1 and we still still let him do whatever he wants regardless of level of play.
