Why exactly could your opinion of other posters in any way affect your level of support for your team?

Because I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone could possibly defend his atrocious play night after night, year after year, sucking ice time away from players much more deserving, and instead of everyone being on board with wanting to move him off the team, we have people LAUGHING it up whenever he makes a semi decent pass, replanting him on the team to get more opportunities away from other better players, hurting the team and the team long term

He has never performed in the playoffs, and worst of all that I haven't even mentioned yet, he's the smallest guy in the NHL, and we need him to out muscle the other top tier players in the league. He can't even stay on his feet for a faceoff let alone a board battle.

But no its OK, let's keep rooting for him.

Just disappointing is all.

Maybe some of us realize we have no effect over DD being on the team or not, so we accept he's on the team now and root for our players

I assume you're speaking of DD? Contrary to what a few posters have suggested, I don't think he's slacking it at all. He usually looks very committed.

What I can't understand is his usage by a coach who seems to deploy troops using his ass rather than his eyes and brain.

It speaks volumes when you have a great poster like Crimson Skorpion come on the GDT tonight and speak out how disgusting the non-stop bashing of DD is here.

As long as I know that there are reasonable posters here, people like the guy you quoted are irrelevant and small.

I am actually quite puzzled by your defense of him. He is ineffective, he constantly loses 1 on 1 battles, he loses draws at an alarming pace, is not a good skater and defensive awareness is putrid. He is a decent passer but that is basically it. What exactly do you see in him that you want him on this time.
