This team is a mess right now. Wake me up when the PO start.

PO are a win/win situation. Lose early and (maybe) Therrien gets the boot. Go deep and we enjoy the ride.

They could get swept and he won't be going anywhere. Honestly, it's just not going to happen.

Exactly the way I feel.

They should separate blocked shots with hit players, if all the opposition needs to do is not move from his current spot to block the shot then our guy isn't trying hard enough to get the puck through

There are 14 seconds left in the period and you are on the ice directly versus John Tavares at center. You have just missed a scoring chance and you are in front of the opponent's net along with another Hab. The puck is heading towards your end as it caroms off the boards and there is going to be a battle for the puck, where, if your guy loses, the Islanders, including Tavares, will get an odd man break going the other way unless you start skating back hard that instant...something centers are taught by PeeWee.

Instead. you stand there..just as you always do..in the hopes that your guy somehow ends up with the puck and fires it in your direction on the off chance that you do something quite rare and score. You make sure you stand there an extra second after the Islanders head back up the ice because there's still a chance that they overskate the puck before they leave the zone, and for the 450th time this season you are the last Hab forward leaving the zone as the opponents have a great chance with an odd man rush the other way.

Welcome to Desharnaisville.

He's probably one of the people who would have traded him Galchenyuk++ for Johansen, before the season started. So this is consistent with his narrative.
If you wouldn't, the issue is with YOU not with me. RyJo is exactly what this organization needs - and you guys think that, somehow, through osmosis maybe, Alex is going to learn how to play 1st line scoring center in the next 12 months?

I see him missing passes and not shooting the puck - he's not doing anything.

They could get swept and he won't be going anywhere. Honestly, it's just not going to happen.

I too am disappointed, but I think the coach involved has to be taken into account.

Another couple of two on ones resulting in no shots.
It really should be a punishable offense
Run the gauntlet of wet towel snappers or something.
It is often the player without the puck who is clueless.
I won't mention names but his sweater has a 1 and a 5 on it. :p:

Come on. 2 embarrassing playoffs outs will be enough for him to be gone. Tell me which coach in MTL survived more than 2 embarrassing playoff performances ?

I thought Galchenyuk played a great period. He was our best forward. He has struggled lately but tonight he has been all over the place.

That and they still consider the team in transition so the expectations are most likely not a Stanley Cup. Now, if next year is a failure it could be different. It's likely because the system and deployment won't change unless Bergevin takes away all his pets.

It looks like Tavares wiped out on his own. Gilbert was right next to Tavares at the end and it would have been very hard for his stick to come into Tavares' skates.

Tavares was squeezed out, fell, and then blamed it on the defenceman.
