"Il fait du bon boulot" was his words. So yeah... New contract incoming.

He also said that about Therrien on more than one occasion. Don't take what is said in a press conference as confirmation. He wouldn't throw his coaches under the bus in a public forum.

I stand by the point that he was not the issue when he was the 1st line C. Wingers were dead in a slump then. At least play him as a C with regular pp time.

I see him moving his feet right now and think the hate for him reminds me of the same level of hate for Pacioretty at the beginning of the season during his long slump.

Hes not moving his feet. Skate harder, go after the puck, hit someone, fight, show some passion.

Hes just an emotionless body.

Its absolutely not a compliment to be compared to a slumping Pacioretty BTW and he too needs to move his feet when hes not scoring, but this boat has sailed with Max, at least hes a consistent 65 point guy.

Steve Ott is NOT gonna help us win anything. Hes retiring next year. Probably a great locker room guy and a stick up guy but hes dead as a hockey player.

Wow, thanks for telling me! Otherwise I would have gone into the playoffs thinking management got Ott to help Montreal win playoff games.

I guess they needed him to block the progress of a younger player they don't like.

Doesn't need to be a compliment. Pacioretty was injured. So was/is Chucky. Not on their best games. After an injury. Not too shocking really.

C'mon! Do you think there's a conspiracy to prevent him from doing well in the NHL?

Julien has clearly demonstrated that he believes in positive reinforcement. The team is doing all they can to get him going on.

I don't think there's a conspiracy. The guy is clearly in a slump and has little confidence in his game at the moment, but all these coaching decisions has only resulted in his play further deteriorating instead of improving, so I don't understand the doubling-down.

A slumping Pax is still good defensively!!

And your point is?

Last time I checked, has bad Therrien was, he didn't miss the POs for 4 straight years before getting the axe.

The simple fact that he let Sly's contract run his ****ing course mean he's happy with Sly.

He's not skating man. I'd agree with you if he looked like he gave a crap out there.
