Lindgren is why I'm convince Bergevin didn't have to cave into Price's contract demands so early, should have at least waited until mid season to see what Lindgren had to offer. As Bergevin has demonstrated with Radulov, Markov and Subban, he can play hardball and with respect to Price, in today's NHL a contending team can't give long term high cap deals to the goalie.

Teams that are satisfied with just making the playoffs can.

I never thought turris was that great.

I think the sens made away like bandits here, they got the best player.

*nevermind, didn't see the 1st rounder. they're in a win now mode. habs sink further down the tank in the division.

Nashville killed it. And that contract is also very good.

Turris never became the player I thought he would. I've seen a few posts touting the Preds depth up the middle but I don't see a great player there. That D is sick though.

With the way Price has been playing, Habs should just start Lindgren more. There's no drawbacks to it. Lindgren will be motivated to prove himself, it will give him more NHL experience, increase his trade value and give Price a time to regroup and find his game.

Yeah they traded a guy who consistently scored 55 points for a guy who hasn't broken 60 points in 4 years, and gave up a 1st and 3rd to boot

Sens have no picks in first 3 rounds now. They are all in.

And their last first round pick. That's crazy, that trade is good only if they win the Cup and they will not.

That's crazy what Ottawa was ready to pay to change Turris by Duchene.

Apparently Ottawa had to trade Turris because they wouldn't give him his contract extension. The thing is, Duchene will ask for more next year anyway. So they have up 2 picks and a prospect for a player who's slightly better and will ask for more money.

For a money strap team it doesn't make much sense. This deal gets worse if Ottawa misses the playoffs or Duchene walks.
