Wow, there are a lot of moving parts in that Duchene deal.

The biggest piece in that deal is the Hamburglar. Without him the deal falls through.

He should be our permanent backup...he is already better than Montoya. On top of that I feel way more comfortable giving him starts for as long as it takes for Price to regain his form.

Imagine in a year it could be Lindgren starter at 700K and Price backup at 10.5M.



But seriously Lindgren has been really solid for the past 3 years. Right now he's the only goalie in our organisation that has me confident when there's a shot coming toward the net.

Lindgren is why I'm convince Bergevin didn't have to cave into Price's contract demands so early, should have at least waited until mid season to see what Lindgren had to offer. As Bergevin has demonstrated with Radulov, Markov and Subban, he can play hardball and with respect to Price, in today's NHL a contending team can't give long term high cap deals to the goalie.

Solid period, they’ve looked really good in the offensive zone. Defense is making mostly good plays, very smooth lately. They’ve looked pretty good as a whole the last two days.
