There are a number of factions, as I see it.

Bergevites: Unconditional management supporters. Will favor current edition of team, rain or shine. Some believe the forum should be a Habs booster club. Some also believe that if you can't support whatever the Habs do, you should be posting somewhere else.

Hab Supporters/ Anti-Bergevite: They don't like Bergevin but they can't get themselves to root for a rebuild/tank. The team is a fail if it becomes mathematically eliminated. Repeat next year.

Pro-Tankers: Blow it all up. Appoint a PHO. Hold the owner accountable. Finish in the basement so Habs can draft best players and solve decades-long needs. Believe HF should be a place where opposing views can be discussed, even those unfavorable to the team and/or management and ownership.

Retoolers: Moderates who don't want to see extreme changes but would favor the appointment of a PHO and some tweaks in the team's composition. Probably Green Party voters who prioritize a life premised on recycling and preserving as much of any existing environment as they can. They would be open to a 1 or 2 years of not being in the playoffs but nothing too prolonged.

Undecided: The "wait-and-see", on the fence types, for an undetermined future. They'll sit on any fence provided it has no spikes.
Right, real unbiased view there. So only Pro-Tankers believe HF should be a place where opposing views can be discussed. What BS.

My opinion is he’s sucked since coming here, and I acknowledged he’s played really well as of late. Why are you throwing the word bias around? Because I said he was underperforming?

If you think he was "hot garbage" last season you are heavily biased against him because that is a gross exaggeration.

I never saw a Pro-Tanker tell a Bergevite that he should root for another team. Did you?

Think about it -- it's just logical. Bergevites believe that Pro-Tankers are a kind of traitor.

No, that doesn’t make me biased at all. If I biased, I would be hoping for him to fail. Not the case.

Guess I felt like quoting myself. I don't want to get into name calling but let's just say I have no time for anyone who wants their team to lose. Oh and I'm no Bergevite (as you put it) either

No one wants their team to lose. Some people believe that we've tried everything with and without the current management and we're unable to fix longstanding needs -- and only see us doing it by nabbing a top pick or three. It's not about being a "loser", it's just a different way to get there.

It's also about not being satisfied with early playoff exits.

Nobody wants to lose. And accepting a rebuild is extremely hard. The team isn’t getting better, it’s getting consistently worse. There’s no direction. The owner seems to be okay with that as long as he gets playoff revenue.

I don't know if he's starting tonight but I would give him the nod. Something could be said about montoya being back in his hometown though.

Ideally, I would have had lindgren on Saturday and montoya on Sunday, but maybe that's just me.

Well, we won yesterday, so there's that.

Aren't the Canadiens right near the top of the list for least shots allowed in the entire league?

Does what we see "on paper" supercede what we see "on the ice"
It rarely if ever does in sports. At best it supports what we clearly see. In this case if what you are saying is the case I'm going with our D sucks...

I'm not what you call a bergevite but I don't think this team will tank. You don't pay your goalie 10.5 mill for 8 years if you plan to tank. your dreaming.
