Emelin isn't a top 4 d-man either, Regehr would be an improvement. And trading for Giordano would cost too much, he's not available.

Emelin runs into Price but Gally missed the puck and could have cleared the puck.

Regier is defiantely an upgrade over Emelin who started playing so well but has really tailed off. Part of the reason is that he's covering for Markov's lack of speed due to bad knees.

He's 19 years old, there would have been no scoring chance at all had Emelin been positionally sound.
