Regehr is NOTHING like you remember. I'd welcome Regehr to play #6 minutes and nothing more. There's a reason he's on a non-playoff team and is their #6 defenseman at ES (well #5 now they traded Leopold)

He's slowed down but IMO he would be an upgrade over Emelin.

At ES, it's true. Emelin plays almost 18 minutes a game at ES.

He's play 9 minutes more than Gorges, who is the next closet to him.

Couldn't care less where we are in the standings...this Markov-Emelin pairing is a real problem right now. Thing is..not sure Markov will find a gear. And not sure Emelin will find more confidence with a slower Markov beside him....

On a bad day Emelin is maybe a bit worse. On a good day Emelin looks like a norris contender next to him.

Emelin plays more minutes than any other D on defense.

Regehr plays the 6th most ES minutes in Buffalo.. behind superstars like Sulzer.

First of all, evaluating stats for this Buffalo team is as useless as it was for Montreal last season. They're a horribly coached team with no first-pairing d-man.

Secondly, have you seen Emelin play lately? It's safe to say Regehr wouldn't do any worst.
